Plus I forgot to say that I got to see a lot of classic music acts for free with great seats because acts like the Beach Boys, 4 Tops and other motown legends, classic rocknroll guys, jazz bands, etc... even NBA games when the Orlando Magic where in town. Lots of events in Utah and Utah is a beautiful cold ass country. I got to jump into a frozen pool during a snowstorm in some hotel that looked a lot like where MLK was killed but in Utah. That and a few other experience in sales/marketing early in my life made me despise sales jobs for the rest of my life. Felt dirty. Luckily I got passed that because it's the easiest work to do if you are a fast talking bullshitter easy with a smile.
i'm a soft sell guy, at least i was if you have something worthwhile and you believe in it you don't have to hold your nose
We got the Amway pitch after an invitation from my sister and bro in law. Did it as a favor to them and they pulled that shit on us. A "business opportunity" they said. Fuckers.
yeah but my first introduction into sales was amway but I even sold government bureaucracy. Essentially selling truck drivers on a middle man to handle all of their dealings with the US government and the states in regards to their registrations, permits, and tax issues. Apparently dumb but maybe not so much truck drivers rolled up with rolls of hundreds. Most of these dudes couldn't speak English and were illegal but had huge bankrolls. The commissions were nice but the work was mind numbing and dealing with the dudes was usually not enjoyable. I shoulda sold weed when the time was right... I would grow fields and fields but it would all go to pot. Harvest was too much for me at the time so most would be left for the forest. And it would attract soo many animals. Most wont touch the stuff but they sure love the smell. Doe and bunnys everywhere with butterflies and song birds all around.
we should have hooked up when it was lucrative those days are gone forever, over a long time ago you need a scientist and a commercial kitchen these days
I would never have done it. I grew for fun and because the weed helped my tomatoes grow crazy in numbers and beauty probably by protecting them from pests and returning good stuff to the soil. It was an experiment. I got all the seeds and like 50 starter plants from my an old chiropractor friend who ditched his practice in his fifties and started selling what at the time was a very unique strain. He wanted to get me started would even bring me a truckful of great fertilizer he used on his indoor plants. At the time I still could not get into the selling it aspect. Or growing it for the purpose of selling it. I was still more strongly attached to the influences of college and more susceptible to the media. I took more than my fair share of latino studies or other ethnic/class/race/religion baiting classes and saw both sides of their stories. I also grew going to church 3 days a week and literally twice on sabbath. My point is that I had a very up close and personal view of all sorts of sales men and conwomen for me to be sick of anything to do with sales or marketing a product or self promotion. Then again it was the 90's and everyone felt the clock was soon up like Prince prophesied. Ha, I was such a dick the following decade... and a half.
Too many people smoke too much... young people too. It's not a cure all. I mean it is but that is exactly what the problem is. You need to learn to develop those coping muscles/mechanisms for all sorts of things both hardware and software. If you let weed or booze or anything else be your complete salve for your problem you will be in trouble. That is another way of being an addict. The way a guy who likes to have a few drinks every night and a few at lunch is a drunk even if he's never all the way drunk. All of this shit builds up in your body and apart from the toxicity inherent in either what is consumed or the method of consumption there is also the numbing factor and the resistance factor. Your body builds up resistances which will cause you to smoke and not enjoy it much. It will cause you to need to take longer and longer breaks to get everything sorta back to normal. And the breaks get harder and harder because your body is dependent in a variety of ways to the chemicals and the feelings that it is now missing. So whatever chronic issue is being masked becomes terribly acute for a few days to a week and a half. Worse if its multiple issues both physical and not. Too many young kids don't know how to repeatedly say no to something that they have experienced that feels really good. That is why we don't let them fuck. Or fuck with our shit. Like our stash.
yeah on that note i was all in for 26 days on the whole30 thing my good buddies bday and he cornered me w a bottle of 1800 had a shit ton of beer from my kids graduation and the family was out of town so...my intention is to not bring it back around the house lol i'm going to stick w my diet for the most part though i didn't go all in and grabs sugar and bread really want to identify what makes my body feel bad this alcohol is working rather well so far

Phil Leotardo. Wanted manicotti, instead...had grilled cheese cooked on a radiator. Wanted to fuck a beautiful woman, instead... jerked off in a tissue. Prison sucks. Obey.
If I remember correctly, the guy shooting Pesci is actually a music agent. The older man next to him is Scorsese's dad.
Mine is more like an uncountable amount of tabs open and each responds but it takes 5 to 25 seconds for each to respond and end up crashing the system every few days, a second browser with very few tabs open so they can all respond in under 5 seconds, this second browser is running random youtube 33% of the time, streaming sports 33% of the time, and lobstertube 34% of the time. And there is music playing somewhere.
