If only it weren't true... On one limb of the family tree, I've got a couple cousins that are married, they have 3 kids together and live in West Virginia of all places. I only see them every 5-10 years or so when I go to that side of the families yearly reunion. The event is held on another cousins property where regular Civil War reenactments are held. I do not fit in well at these events.

Making fun of white people/self loathing is politically correct and encouraged in society. Gotta see a 'like' on something that could hurt him if he runs for office. But you're on the right track!
Luckily we don't do those reenactments at the family reunion(plus, Ohio and wool in July... fuck that). The area is pretty cool as my cousin that owns the land hired some amish builders to create a mini settlement on the property with at the time of the last reunion I went to, 5 or 6 legit civil war era buildings. Fun story, that last one I went to, another cousin of mine brought his best friend. His best friend is an African American kid with a great sense of humor from what I was told beforehand, so we decided to have a little fun. When they showed up he was immediately wide eyed and you could tell he just had an "oh shit"moment. I grabbed a Bud heavy, walked over, put my arm around his shoulder and with my best southern accent said "Chris, as you can see, we love our civil war reenactments. And just your luck, we’ve decided to have an impromptu enactment today. The *family last name redacted*’s will be the south and you’re gonna be the north. We’re giving you a 20 second head start, so start ah runnin’. Time starts now, go!...” When I re-tell that story now, people always say it’s fucked up. Yet, Chris, Alex(cousin) and I still laugh and joke about that to this day.
Still separated and missing each other. They hang out by the fence together most days. One is fixed and now we need to do the second. Going to start walking them together in a neutral area first. Then hopefully things can get back to normal.
Yup, one of the greatest.jokes ever...I heard it on Johnny Carson, told by Robert Duvall of all people, at the height of the anti French feelings...when they refused the US permission to use their air space. Carson had asked Duvall was he of French extraction.
