About fucking time the lineup steps up during a bullpen game. Nice effort by White, his best by far. Well done by the rest of the pen, too. Victor was lucky that hard ground ball found a glove for the DP. 1-2-3 inning for Uceta with two Ks? The Dbacks should be relegated to the Cal League. Can't believe there aren't better options in the minors or Garcetti's shanty town for that matter. One of the future remedies for the Dodgers' talent glut in the lineup would be the universal DH.
" Bunting is for Conservatives and those other guys"... -------------- Dave Roberts, pioneering Founder of the Institute of Baseball Wisdom
between that and not holding on runners its completely frustrating its like fundamentals don't mean shit to him was at the game where they loaded the bases in the ninth w no outs and that situation just screams for the element of surprise execute a reasonable bunt there and its game over other teams don't play us like there is even the smallest chance we'd try it and they're right since we aren't prepared probably don't even practice it and cody used to use that as a weapon early in his career can remember when a guy could slump bust on a few bunts and a willing plumper
That's discouraging. Didn't watch the game, so in the box score they looked like two solid hits. Is Roberts going to do anything or just continue watching him have one overmatched AB after another?
my guess would be the latter another question… who sits when trae and lux are ready? knowing roberts he’ll probably sit taylor and/or pollock can already hear it… “cody’s going to need at bats to get right. ct3 and aj have done a great job, but this team goes nowhere without cody.”
M Betts (R) 2B C Taylor (R) CF J Turner (R) 3B A Pujols (R) 1B C Seager (L) SS A Pollock (R) LF A Barnes (R) C B McKinney (L) RF J Urías (L) P
Lux is definitely on the bench My guess is everyone gets rotated which may not be the worst thing in the world with all the injuries we keep racking up. Obviously not ideal with lineup consistency but what can you do when everyone and their momma lands on the IL Outfield is the best bet where guys take turns against lefties/righties Ideally you go Mookie (RF) Trea (2B) Turner (3B) Muncy (1B) Pollock(LF) Smith (C) Seager (SS) Bellinger/Pollock (CF) Pitcher
Should be him in left. Messed up and had Pollock there twice. I’d put him in the rotating player role, giving Seager, Bellinger and Turner days off. It’s a good problem to have but we definitely need his bat there every day since he’s one of the few consistent players on the team
Another good outing by Julio and it was fun to watch a nearly fully healthy Dodgers lineup. Does feel bad to gain 0 ground on SF when they face Houston and we face the Dbags
Went to birthday party when it was 5-0. Looked again some time later, and it was 13-0. I mean, 26 runs in 3 games and not an inch closer to those SFags...wtf ?
