It was bounced many feet in front of him going towards his chest. The runner isn't going towards the plate, you just need to block it. Even if it's a bad throw, it was on a line and Muncy shouldve cut it off OR Jansen been backing up.

    0-2
Kenley thought he was real slick with the hesitation and quick pitching and walked him
Allows a guy to steal his first base by just ignoring the runner (as usual)
Elevates the only pitch that little shithead can hit

    Against the Angels.

This one is difficult. I really believe they gave up. The at bats towards the end of the game was like watching a team who wanted to get back home. They took everything for granted tonight and got punked by a shitty team.

Grandal is the king of passed balls and bonehead plays.

    47-40. Ugly record, imo

0-2 fucking 2 out vs Ohtani, none on. you walk him. fucking beta closer.
Then that cocksucker steals second. fuck off Grandal you stupid piece of shit. Gave them 2 runs because you can't fucking throw a ball or catch a ball right at you. . Go back to Cuba. like FFS you did the same fucking thing last year at Angel Stadium, chucked the ball into the OF on a strikeout. I don't know wtf you were doing triple clutching then throwing when he was already on the fucking base, but you need to sit the fuck down and stop sucking. Then right after Puig throws a strike to him and he flat out misses it. It bounced yeah, but Puig threw him a strike and Grandal just missed it. this after Kinsler hits a damn pop up that only falls in because Puig is toeing the warning track the other way against nice awesome .213 hitter.

Grandal was probably trying to frame Puig's throw :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

for all his flashes of brilliance at the plate etc. he is just not that smart when its clutch time
leads the league in passed balls last year and probably does this year
see him fail to put the glove down and block a pitch several times a week same as you

Grandal's framing skills would be better served on Roger Rabbit or an internship at Aaron Brothers.

    Ummmm.....WTF just happened?

    Did I see a little league 9th?

    Misplayed RF play.

    Badly timed throw.

Catcher didn’t block the ball on the throw.

Pitcher not backing up the catcher.

Never mind the blown save (which happens, but with Kenley, it just looks more painful.)

was so furious last night i couldn't even post
so much blame to go around
but to me it's all on kenley
if he doesn't walk ohtani after being up 0-2 we're not talking about any of this
maybe focus more on pitching instead of appearance
and fwiw kenley, all the hype you've heard about do-rags, skull caps, beanies, et al...
yeah, sorry fat boy, they don't make you look slimmer
the postgame spread will be there win or lose tubby

I average one broken remote per season. Can't believe I blew my wad before the playoffs.

Did triple clutch Yas really think he had any kind of a chance to throw out Ohtani? I mean gimme a break. Choke Jansen will raise his ugly head eventually.
And that center cut pitch to Fletcher on that rocket base hit to tie was so amateurish. Almost as bad as his gimmicky quick pitch and double glove pound, both that almost went over Grandal's head...or Maeda's baka bomb balk, something I haven't seen lately in the ML. And after a great game to that point. Smh. And on a night Trout kept at bay, they blow it like suckem silly Sally.
    Inexplicable, inexcusasable and inconsolable loss.
Plenty of blame to go around last night.

Grandal committed four errors, imo. Two mental, two physical.

Losses happen. Losses like that should never happen.

Eight and two thirds innings of excellent pitching wasted last night.

Easy to forget with the 9th inning fiasco that the Angels' first run was scored when Maeda lost his composure and balked it home.

He should be traded to Miami along with a few prospects for Realmuto.
At best if he is still here next year we should have a young C in the same role that Barnes had last year so he can take over late in the season and in the playoffs as the primary catcher.

Dodgers activate Floro, place Maeda on paternity leave
by Daniel Starkand | Dodger Blue — 18 minutes ago

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced ahead of Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim that they have activated reliever Dylan Floro and placed Kenta Maeda on paternity leave.

Floro was the first of likely multiple pre-trade deadline acquisitions for the Dodgers. He was recently acquired from the Cincinnati Reds along with Minor League pitcher Zach Neal and international signing bonus pool space in exchange for Minor League pitchers James Marinan and Aneurys Zabala.

Both Floro and Neal are familiar faces to the Dodgers having spent time in the organization. Floro signed with the Reds as a Minor League free agent before this season after being designated for assignment by the Dodgers last fall. He appeared in 25 games out of the bullpen for the Reds , going 3-2 while posting a 2.72 ERA, 3.33 FIP and 1.40 WHIP with 27 strikeouts and 12 walks in 36.1 innings.

Maeda started Friday night’s game against the Angels, allowing just three hits and one run while striking out nine and walking two in 5.2 innings of work. He and his wife welcomed a new child to the world just before Friday’s game, so he will likely be away from the team for a few days before returning to make his next start.
