Starting to hit me too. All the ragging on the shitty Cubs players, announcers, and haters has kinda overshadowed what's happening... at least in my mind.
not ashamed to admit it... i'm going to cry my eyes out when the last out is recorded 29 years since our last nl pennant ... i was 28 at the time
genuine question... would you let kenley pitch the 9th so he can be on the field when we win the pennant? me, yes

I have been a Dodger fan my entire short life, but truly fell in love with this team in 2003. Shawn Green, Paul loduca, Alex Cora, Cesar izturis, Adrian Beltre, Brian Jordan, Kevin Brown, Eric gagne, Paul shuey, Paul Quantrill, Dave Roberts... they weren't very good, but I loved everything about them. The past 15 years of fandom is flashing before my eyes. The yellow-orange-blue-red seating, the Dodger blue wall, the rubberized warning track, all the different renovations... the incredible turnover of players in the early 2000s (Nobody from the 2004 team was left in 2006). The Jacksonville 5... Mannywood... The Magic Castle Dodgers... All the different failures and successes. So many images and sounds that I can't do justice or articulate I remember watching an old VHS tape of the 1988 World Series, narrated by Bob Costas and Joe garagiola when I was younger. As a ten-year-old I would watch that tape on loop it seemed every night. I remember feeling like Vin put me to bed each night. I'm doing a horrible job describing what I'm feeling right now, but it feels damn good. I can't believe we are going to play in the World Series
