Sung to the melody of "Benny and The Jets"
In all seriousity...( new word), I would have just posted it somewhere else and then let Diablo or Irish tell me it was in the wrong thread...so I made a new one....
I don't post much of what Chris Russo ever screams. Unless I agree with him, and I do this time.
I think we all ( most) agree the DR is handling the prestidigitation show pretty damn well with the bp. Most bp innings in bb, but no one overworked ( debatable, imo), so maybe he's believing his own press.
But leaving Blanton in last night, when he shouldn't have, and taking him out, the night before, when he shouldn't have, was really dopey.
    Dangerous.
Blanton is fine, but he's not Mo.
I mean, if Crawford gets a little more wood on that shot to Reddick, we have a whole different perspective on that game, big time.
That's when your very effective LH comes in...don't leave the JB in because it finally dawned on you you fucked up the night before when you took him out.
Got lucky, Dave, and we're all so happy about it. But with the dog days here, and the post season looming, gotta take a healthy swig of that anti yip medicine, bro...

I definitely thought last night was a situation where you bring in Jansen as opposed to the other night when Blanton was dealing. Baffling move that gave me a heart attack....glad it worked out for us, but it was pretty odd. For as much as I and others complained about Kenley to start the 2nd half, I feel so confident when he is in the game. Really hope we can lock him up long term this offseason because he's been a consistent strength in his tenure here.

But is Dayton the guy you wanted to see in there?

Just me speculating, but I think Roberts went out there with the full intention of bringing in Dayton, and somewhere along the way Blanton convinced him otherwise. Not sure that makes it any better, but big Joe must've been pretty damn confident that he was going to retire Crawford.
