I try to think of deals that will get us where we want to go, but giving prospects won't be worth it because we have so many holes to fill (no homo). If you did a blockbuster for Braun and Lucroy, signed Gurriel...great. but we're still down an entire starting rotation almost. It's crazy.
All fine and good unless the "Parents" have a fetish for "Adopting" damaged goods and cast off underachievers.....
i know you posted this before kersh hit the dl but a lot depends on his prognosis if it's truly just 15 days and he's back 100% that's one thing i would seriously see what it would take to get braun and lucroy puig is a fucken idiot and a far cry from the (dedicated?) player he was as a rookie and fuck grandmal his framing (while good) is more than negated by his offensive ineptness puig, grandal, money and some prospects (not named urias) do it but if it's longer than that, just play it out with what you have no sense in trying to make a run without kersh and... edit: as we speak, i see we just acquired bud norris meh :lowscore: but, again, whatever the nerds decide to do, it should be based 100% on kershaw's prognosis imo that is all
The Dodgers have a deal in place to acquire right-hander Bud Norris from the Braves, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (via Twitter). Norris should step right into an injury-plagued rotation that saw Clayton Kershaw hit the disabled list with a back injury earlier today. Norris last pitched on June 26, so he could start in place of Kershaw tomorrow.
