So once again the brain trust trots out some AAA rookie who gets bombed... predictable Which does NOTHING to relieve the anemic Dodgers offense from their shame at mustering a whopping 2 hits in 9 innings
This is maybe the worst of them all, aside from the SFag Kenley meltdown. They are like the Army of the Dead, but nobody, absolutely nobody, is afraid of them in the least. They just look like the motherfuckers, but can't fight like them.
The hamstring raises it's ugly head again. I said it before, and again...he will always have this problem now.
sad that this is what it's comes down to rooting for the giants to lose because we're incapable of winning
Was contemplating today about not resigning Greinke. Plus you know how I hate to bring up shit that doesn't matter anymore. I understood not bringing him back because he'll be an old man with a 4+ ERA towards the end of the contract; but would I rather of had him over Anderson, Maeda (who has been good), and Kazmir? You bet your ass. Then I realized that it wouldn't have meant much anyways because it's the offense that's the problem.
Considering who we have started the last 2 games it's a miracle. Which is what it would take for this offense to be good unfortunately.
We need Braun and Lucroy bad. Give up some of the kids. We can afford it. You can always have more sex and make more kids.
Here's the thing about that. Greinke might be a shell of himself toward the end of that contract, but anymore than Peavey is now or Hudson was or Lincecum was toward the end? Lincecum was very effective out of the pen for the 3 or so innings he was asked to pitch. Hudson wasn't an ace, but he was reliable. I just don't understand what the thinking was about Greinke or Cueto or Price. Hell Hamels has been lights out for the Rangers since the trade that got him there from the Phillies. I was listening to Ray Ratto on the radio today and he was saying that prospects are just that....a hope they may pan out, but nothing more. You stock them to use them and very few actually make it "big". If you have a chance to go after a name, you have to consider it. Picking the next big thing is a guess, not a science. Anyway, I hope we really do something special during the trade deadline and surely during the next off season. Plans change when circumstances change. Let's try to get something done for a change.
wouldn't do it for hamels or price at last year's deadline they won't do it now friedman's claim that he'll be targeting elite level players between now and the deadline is just posturing this team, as currently constructed, is the team we'll finish the season with... your 2016 los angeles dodgers
