From the Tony Jackson ESPN article refered to in another thread. http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles...-4-white-sox-3-fleeting-glory-for-jerry-sands
For once, a player I like is in the right spot , and at the right time...good for Justin. However, I'm not sold on what Jackson has written. I don't argue with the premise at all, but to see Crappy and Kennedy not on the 25, is , IMO, a long shot. For any length of time, no matter how Sellers does. Not with the money they laid out. It's just not the way the LAD operate. And Jerry, sadly, could have had the LF back up spot in his pocket and on the 25, but he didn't do what he needed to. And that's that. Life sucks, then you die in triple A.
this is why signing Kennedy was stupid he'd still be a FA right now. or if you must sign him, why give him a guaranteed deal? wtf. aaron miles is still out there too my point is, they could have gone with FIelds and Sellers and if Fields sucks, cut him and sign Kennedy later or something it's not like Kennedy out hits Sellers. and Sellers glove is excellent
A Sellers guy here, too. What a shame if they let him walk. Ned loves that creamy veteran goodness (tm)
The most obvious solution is a simple one. Trade Uribe for another terrible contract. Right now. If he breaks out for the other team, so be it. As a Dodger, he will never be welcome. Keep Sellers and Fields. I like them both. I am a huge Sellers fan but have always thought Fields did not get a fighting chance before this spring. We go younger and we could catch lightening in a bottle with whatever we grab. Seriously, Urine is essentially stealing a spot from Sellers or Fields who have both worked their asses off.
Sorry to disagree Irish but Hairston has more versatility and experience even though he is struggling this camp besides I thought it was between Sellers and Sands anyway.
I think he may be not positive. There was some talk that Cruz who is another INF guy was considered a darkhorse but who knows. They may change there stance on carrying 3 catchers which I think was the plan. Well time to go shopping for a new cellphone.
im watching this season preview on prime ticket Lyons has a horse voice. sounds awful. hard to listen
I dont see the issue with having Fields on the opening day roster and sellers waiting in the wings if we need a middle infielder.
