He slugged 435 last year which is pitiful by 1B standards. Kotchman-esque. Then there's the 200 genuinely sad at bats from this season. I don't think it's a given at all that he's anything but a liability.
Nah, He will be split. And those numbers were good vs righties .303 .372 .488 .859 And his RISP numbers were also great .297 .376 .469 .845 What we need from him is to hit righties, get on base, and drive people home.

Basically. He should never start against a lefty and go from there. Maybe have Kike locked-and-loaded for a Loogy, but that takes a bench player. Gonzo as the worlds most overpaid pinch hitter is about as comfortable as I can get.
I get it this years version isn't the A-Gon of the past but until proven otherwise by his play the rest of the year he deserves a shot to become a key player again. If we were in 2nd place and struggling then this move would be incredibly stupid but we have the time. We are all huge Bellinger fans and he has been ABSOLUTELY fucking amazing for us but A-Gon has a long history of success so we have to find out if he still has it.
Nah, If the SP is punched out it means we are either winning big early or its past the 6th or even the 5th inning. When the lefty reliever comes up Kike, Logan, or Barnes can come in. Bellinger goes to 1B for the rest of the game and those guys go somewhere else, possible for an inning or the entire game for the more flexible guys who can move around each inning.

Meh, it won't take much for Adrian to be an upgrade versus righties compared to Logan or Joc so why not see if he can be that?
I still have a lot of hope for Joc, but he's a total idiot. I'd sent him down and tell him he's not seeing the bigs unless he loses 25 pounds (which I think is illegal so whatever).
