Too many guys on this team that are ALMOST good at baseball, but not quite. Wood is the poster boy. Hatcher too. Baez and Yimi actually just completely suck and need to stop being an experiment as well.
If Wood can only go 5/6 innings and it's a nightmare every time, you have to give serious consideration to calling up De Leon and putting Wood in the bullpen where he might be great
All that and there was no outs?? Sigh.. So now we're praying that Coleman can get more outs than runs?
I think "Low risk, high reward" has lost its meaning. Making a bunch of "low risk" signing and trades actually puts you at a high risk of failing hard.
The thing about those low risk, high reward is that the "low risk" becomes untrue if you keep that person in a position where he is failing for way too long. This was the Ned specialty. Sign a pitcher for cheap and it seems harmless but then he's the set up guy and you want to die.
So this Jennings kid is a potential trade offer? I mean 4 straight pitches without lifting his bat.. He's got Dodger written all over him.. but then he draws a walk... ...never mind
Some members of the LA staff makes any team look like powerful juggernauts. This series in TOR may be a terrible, terrible thing with that lineup.
