so last night, er, this morning
i watched game 3 of the 2008 lds against the ScRubs

i had forgotten how good that '08 offense was...

    - martin .280/13hr/18sb
    - loney .289 13hr/90rbi
    - kent .280/12hr/59rbi
    - pierre .283/40sb
    - kemp .290/18hr/76rbi
    - ethier .305/20hr/77rbi
    - manny .396/17hr/53rbi (in 53 games)
    - furcal .357 (36 games)

and i also forgot how good broxton was (and could have been)
he was throwing in the high 90's (one pitch was 101) and his breaking ball was sick
amazing how only 4 games later, with one pitch to matt stairs, he would never be the same again

    So, You're channeling Broxton's nightmare?

I'd see a shrink ASAP, before you start thinking about Buckner and Chris Crocker!

I loved game 2. Bills went 6.2 Innings with 7 Ks, manny homered, we put up 10 runs. So great

The crowd went silent after that hit, and it was as if the team and the town just rolled over after that. It was sad how hard that one moment hit them.

they're cursed because they believe they're cursed
more so than the red sox who always believed they would win... and of course did
    like eugene o'neill once wrote...
    "there is no present
    there is no future
    there's just the past
    repeating itself
    over and over"
leon durham, bartman, and so on, and so on...

Just saw this. I was at that game. First dodger game I ever experienced where the floor was rocking beneath me (right after Manny slid home safely).

No matter what Loney did his whole time as a dodger I will always remember him for that slam to straight away center against dumpster. Series changer indeed
