Want to know something funny? I coached against Paul George twice in high school when I taught in the High Desert. He really didn't get any looks other than Santa Clara and Fresno State but man he could shoot the ball. He lit us up for over 30 points both times (really hard to do in HS ). Didn't slash to the basket as much as he was just content to shoot the ball beyond the arc on a pick and pop. Even out of college most people underrated him, I remember SLAM magazine voting him most likely "to bust" out of the entire draft class. Kind of happy just to see what he's become. I also thought our program was going to get Kawhii Leonard and Jaamal Franklin one year as they were both at our feeder middle school. Kawhii moved back to Riverside for 8th grade and Jaamal went to another school. We were a little disappointed. Don't think I've ever mentioned it before, as it all really happened within three years of my coaching career.
George was set to go to Pepperdine, then switched to Fresno after Pepperdine's coach quit mid-season. He had his moments at Fresno, but was really an underachiever. George shocked the Fresno coaching staff when he came out after his soph year. He's been much better in the league than he was in college.

It's really gonna be a long season if DLo doesn't start taking better care of the basketball. Might even find himself in a familiar place..coming off the bench behind JC and once again he won't be able to blame anybody other than himself. Both DLo and Randle have made big strides, but they sometimes annoy the fuck out of me..DLo with his careless passes and Randle always looking dog tired

Just look at that depth..no DLo and they roll out Calderon for 12pts, 6 reb, 4 ast, Lol, I love it Got just about nothin from Randle, but Mozzy picks it up with 16pts Mozzy shooting like 62% from the field so far this year and damn near 90% from the free throw line last I looked, if he were playing more than 21 minutes a night..Luke knows what's best tho..needed Mozzy for 31 minutes tonight and he just basically matched young hog Steven Adams. Shit, what can you say about Young? Nobody saw this shit coming from Young..Luke has saved this guy's career..has him playing efficiently on offense and D'ing up too Hold that L, Russ
