They've already said they're building around Ingram and called Zubac a pillar, but in theory, if you trade Russell/Randle/Clarkson you're doing it to get a star in return..build around that star, the cap space after next season + the #2 overall pick they have this off-season You're not trading Russell/Randle/Clarkson for a bag of mediocrity
Fox is a standard PG, Ball brings the hope that he may be special due to his size. Fox would be a safe pick, Josh may be as well. Guys that can come in and help right away on both ends of the court.
Wouldn't this be nice? (at least in my opinion). http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/l...te-80s-warriors-between-dynasty-and-disaster/
The idea is to build a fast-paced offensive team. But not in the D'antoni mold. You want to have as many good young players that can DEFEND hard and spur on fast breaks. You know, Showtime. You have to be a willing defender, not necessarily be a great one when playing one on one, but you have to feel pain watching the opponent score so that when you are playing defense you will try and keep that pain from happening. That is the only way to play good defense really. Even if you are a freak athletically and have long arms that can cover a lot of ground and a super quick and agile. If you don't have defensive instincts and timing then you better work. Hard work and attitude will start putting you in the right spots and with your body in the right position for you to be good enough to help your team on defense. Then with a little time the rest will come. But if you dont build it, they wont come.
stats dont tell a story they are merely the legend to help guide you through the map like the index in a story if you get your story from the stats you will not get the message and will continue to miss the point
Just say no, Pelinka. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/n...ant-to-overpay-for-waiters-lakers-interested/
Speaking of slow white feet..Warriors just pretty much went to whomever Kevin Love was defending for I don't know how many possessions in a row..too many Lol
Zach Lowe's finals preview on ESPN suggested GS do exactly that. Everyone on the court knew that's what's was going to happen and it still worked. Should be interesting to see if Cleveland has any counter to this.
GS has too many weapons. They were the best team last year and added probably the second best player on the planet (and a nightmare matchup) to their roster. Hope the quitter (Durant) enjoys his ring. Can't beat 'em, join 'em.
I've never really been mad at Durant for his choice..more so in awe of what it could mean He did his time in shitty Oklahoma City, has always been too big of fish for that small pond..bay area market>>>OKC He hit the open market and GSW was his best option, that's really all there is to it..and then of course Westbrook is an uber-ball hog and GSW does a great job of sharing. Maybe said it before, but also don't really have an axe to grind with GSW. I mean are they " bay area "? Sure, but still not really a rival of LAL, at least for now. Plus, I like watching great basketball and that's what they play. Now, I'm not rooting for GSW or anything like that..just basically enjoying the show. A lot of people mark them as a " super-team that came together ", but GSW was built through the draft for the most part..they developed that core and then added/attracted an Iguodala and Durant..the very same thing the Lakers would like to do with this young core.
Absolutely. They put together the right way and deserve all that credit. I still think it was a weak ass move by Durant.
They'll probably try to be more physical or whatever, but it's not like GSW is soft Zaza is definitely not soft, nor is Draymond or West or Durant or Iggy/Klay, etc. Steph is a little soft and maybe they can get to him eventually, but Durant's ability to take over helps with that..Steph doesn't have to be the focus anymore, doesn't have to begin and end with him. I don't really see what the Cavs can do..GSW is a great defensive team and they're not..if they elect to take Love off the floor they'll lose some spacing on the other end and make it even easier for GSW's defense. Ultimately, I think they're fucked..just have to hope GSW gets sloppy and misses shots
Looks like CP3 will consider the Spurs when he opts out OT: Pierce is high AF on this ESPN program Lol can barely even open his eyes, Tmac and Stephen Jackson laughing at him, god bless'em
Warriors been blowing past guys named Love for years SI VaultVerified account@si_vault Rick Barry drives past Stan Love (father of Kevin, spiritual brother of Will Ferrell) during a 1974 Warriors-Lakers game:
Possibly trying to dump Clarkson/his $ and fill that spot/space with Waiters? Interesting, both being 25yrs old. Would be an incremental offensive upgrade over Clarkson if he could duplicate last season, minus missing almost half the season of course..he's considerably better than Clarkson on the defensive end though Pretty intriguing if that's the idea
