No Nurkic, no problem. Pressure ratchets up on OKC
George and Lowry, playoff brothers
Oh yeah..can't forget those Zubac numbers from Game 1 VS GSW
10 minutes, 0-2 from the field, 4 rebounds, 2 fouls
Clippers laughing about the Zubac trade
More fake news
Yeah we agree with this.. in fact it is only by the grit and sweat that one rises to such heights
Still as you point out a great many egoistic pretenders float among NBA 'leaders'. George and DeRozan join the likes of Dwight Coward and others weak of spirit. Does anyone truly know about Butler, Simmons, Aldridge or Towns until / unless they step up on the larger playoff stage? I personally think we'll see that fighters spirit out of Giannis but most others are harder to predict.
They just care about "money and status".
If Ingram had grit he'd of learned by now that he's going to get dominated without adding 20+ lbs on his shoulders
Butler's very similar to Kyrie in that they're sort of labeled as stars that aren't the easiest to play with, but both are big moment/big shot guys that aren't really afraid of anything or anyone. I think back to the last era and they remind me of guys like Sprewell and Iverson. Dawgs. Butler's head to head record against LeBron over the years is like 2nd only to Kawhi. He's given LeBron hell. George and Derozan are guys that'll put together better regular seasons than Butler, but I'm pretty sure most stars would pick Butler over George/Derozan in meaningful games.
It feels like Simmons could be similar to Butler/Kyrie because his inability to shoot presents some challenges in terms of playing with him, but he usually plays with the proper edge and motor. Aldridge is just on the back 9. His best days are behind him, but he was really good in Portland in some big games. Towns, meh. Agreed on Giannis. Lonzo made Ingram look bad this year with the way he committed to his weight room regimen last offseason. It took Lonzo one offseason to improve his body/strength. There's no excuse for Ingram..AD is super-long, as is Giannis, and both locked themselves in the weight room and were determined to get stronger and we see the results.
Speaking of Jimmy
Windhorst - " Big swing guy is Jimmy Butler, based on the trade it looks like the Sixers intend to sign Tobias Harris..I think if Butler doesn't get a 5 year offer he moves on..he wants to play in Los Angeles. "
Jimmy's a loon, but I'd like it. Similar to Artest joining in 2010. Every championship team needs a little crazy
Down goes Boogie
..would've been of more use to Rivers.
Here we are going to the 4th quarter with Boogie out, so surely Zu is about to dominate.
He's been a runaway train thus far..9 minutes, 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 foul
Warriors can only hope to contain him
Ghost Zu domination. Largest comeback win since 2000 and Zu on the bench for all of it.
Boy, if Trez Harrell had a backup this series could've gone..6 games
Just saw that score and had to recheck like 5 times to make sure I wasn’t seeing shit....damn
The moment has looked too big for him so far. Looks so jittery/nervous and can barely hold onto the ball. I won’t hate though....he may never be anything more than a serviceable backup but he definitely has more value than Muscala...that can’t be denied. Still a pretty irrelevant move in the grand scheme of things tho
Fun watching Durant let the team down, for sure. I don't know why he thinks he can handle New York and trying to uplift that franchise
We'll find out how much value Zu has this summer since he's a restricted FA. Clips are big game hunting and could choose to replace him with a guy that's better suited for this era of ball movement/switching/spacing. Somebody like..Muscala. Lol Looks like West had it right the 1st time..Rivers making that clear. Right now, Zu is holding no value at all to them. Barely getting to play and when he does..you said it.
But Zu does have talent, it's just retro-talent. Marc Gasol is past his prime and still has far quicker feet than Zu. And of course, Marc has the 3 ball and is a terrific passer. So the Zu/Marc comp never really took off. There's a place for retro guys, but it's usually not in the winner's circle.
I imagine Zu is going to do something in the playoffs, one of these games. I'm rooting for him, even though silly ass Clip fans are going to point and go, " see ". Fuck them. Still rather see Zu do well.
But until then I'm shitting on the Clips at every opportunity for that fake news leak
That score and a Dodger walkoff=good night.
Salary cap guru Bobby Marks saying similar about LAL's AD chase this summer. His way differs a little, says LAL's offer should be limited to Lonzo, Kuz, the 2019 lottery pick and the 2021 1st unprotected. A little less than I proposed a couple days back..he's good with LAL just moving AD into more of the cap space and keeping guys like Hart and Moe.
Which is fine too. His way leaves $21M in cap space..which still gives LAL the option of trying to convince Kawhi to opt in and be traded to LAL ala Paul/Clips/Rockets. If Kawhi opts into next season, he'll make $21M in 2020, so pretty much a perfect fit. LAL could offer Hart, Bonga and a 2nd round pick for Kawhi and Toronto would take it or lose Kawhi for nothing. But any AD trade can't be completed until July 1st because of some roster restriction. It can be agreed to ahead of that date ( likely draft night), but not official until free agency opens. Feels like AD could actually land given Griffin's presence in N.O. A huge chip ahead of Kawhi's decision. I don't think Griffin does it without Ingram though, so maybe flip it around..Zo stays with LAL instead of Ingram.
Russ out there 4-17 from the field going into the 4th
