Played like shit and still almost won. We win if the refs aren't drunk OR D'angelo doesn't brick all of his shots
Walton on Jazz: "They shot 40 free throws, which is a little ridiculous to me. But that's kind of what happens when you play here in Utah."
Chick kept Stu reigned in somewhat. With Chickie gone, Stu is free to express his every thought.......not a pretty thing.
good point i remember chick admonishing him several times on broadcasts but with chick gone, stu thinks he's an expert resource -- and acts a little entitled tbh
Got to hang out at the Lakers practice facility as part of my job today. Got a nice little motivational speech by Michael Cooper.
Cooper said the same thing about Bird. "Larry Bird was the toughest player to guard. With Michael, I didn't have to worry about him much when he didn't have the ball. He was a scorer. If he didn't have the ball, I had less to do. But with Larry, he did the little things that made you keep an eye on him at all times. He'd make a great pass, or he'd go for a ball out of bounds and save it. That would lead to one of the Celtics grabbing it, passing it, and they'd end up scoring." He also told us that Pat Riley knew every little detail about the game. Said Riley would go to a specific spot on the court and tell you the exact shooting percentage of whoever they were playing.
