Meh, Why not? Can't keep sending Correia out there. My guess says he comes to SoCal, whether it is us or the Angels.

He's worth a look. We'll get a look at him up close and personal which could sway us to try and get him. I don't want a Doyle Alexander situation whereas the Tigers traded John Smoltz to get him for the stretch run. It worked out for the playoffs though they didn't win the WS but obviously hurt in the long run.

EDIT: Colon would have to get through about 24 teams before we can even entertain trading for him.

Colon would be great... asking price is a question mark, however

@truebluela: Yasiel Puig gets a day off. Dodgers:
    Gordon 2B
    Crawford LF
    Gonzalez 1B
    Kemp RF
    Ethier CF
    Arruebarrena SS
    Butera C
    Rojas 3B
    Greinke P

Replacing Puig with Ethier and Turner with Rojas is a sad downgrade :(

But Puig needs the day off

well, keep in mind he's due 11M next year, so i don't know that they'll be a ton of teams waiting to claim him. of course, our ownership can afford to do just that..

^True but the other thing that could happen is that the Gnats just plain block us.

Why is Turner not in the lineup? Is he hurt or is Mattingly being an idiot once again?

That is a lot of automatic outs in one lineup.

Pretty sure waivers goes NL teams first, then AL teams, when it comes to NL players, so about 13 teams.

^It was mentioned in that same article that the Angels would have to have Colon get through 28 teams in their case. So I think it's best record regardless of league. Not real sure however.

Well the Angels are in the AL and have the best record in MLB. 14 teams in NL plus 14 in the AL (Not counting Mets and themselves) = 28 teams in front of them. In Colon's case, it goes thru NL teams first.

Don't understand anybody getting a day off with 2 off-days wrapped around the D-Bags series.

Puig has sucked lately, so I understand that. But Turner is red hot, Can't be sitting red hot.
