Completely different hitters. There was a lot of skepticism in regards to Robinson's big swing and miss approach. Just for shits, in Robinson's age 21 season, he struck out 143 times in 136 games and 599 at bats(mostly in HiA). Since Calhoun joined the organization at age 20(now 22 after the season), he has struck out 103 times in 205 total games and 788 AB's, with a full season in AA. Calhoun has gotten high praise about his ability at the plate, the problem is that he is just terrible in the field. I don't think he goes away, I feel he will have plenty of value to an AL team and he likely enhances those beliefs this season after a full year in the PCL.

My thought process is that I am under the impression that one of those other guys I named could be in the deal and if they're not, this would be a steal for us. If Calhoun could be kept in the system somehow without losing any of these other guys, Great! Then we have more pieces to trade later. Also, in the wild event he does start to show more ability in the field, he would have two years to get ready in AAA. We shall see though, hard to believe they could get a deal done with only one of their top 6 or so prospects.

    More of the same:
    Jeff Passan
Sources: Dodgers have shown willingness to include top pitching prospect Jose DeLeon in a deal for Brian Dozier. Would be strong headliner.
DeLeon makes a lot of sense for Twins, who could use young SP to complement young core. Dodgers extremely deep in near-ML-ready SP, too.

    Update:
    Jon Heyman
Twins like bellinger, but tough to see dodgers trading him. De leon plus is more likely, as @JeffPassan said.

Everyone is saying the same thing now, this seems like it is going to happen as names are getting more and more finalized. A good point was made by one of the bloggers. This appears more and more like the Kemp deal where everyone knew it was happening, it just took forever to be completed. I think the team is trying to do this prior to inking Turner so that they don't have to lose the 40 man spot, though the Garcia injury may change that.

When you wear pajamas to work day in and day out, your sense of style may get lost. But as a white guy from Orange County I don't see anything wrong with the way they're dressed.

FWIW, they haven't officially signed Jansen either, so the 40-man remains at 39. I believe they are both on vacation (Jansen for obvious reasons) so they probably have to wait for the physicals to make them official. As far as Garcia, i'm pretty sure the 60-day DL doesn't kick in until right before the season.

For some reason I thought the team announced the Jansen trade last week or whatever. I was more thinking with Garcia that they may remove him from the 40 man since he's a year+ away from helping. He may get picked up, but my guess is that 2 years of arm issues may cause them to move on.

I guess they could DFA him, and just be done with it, or if the Dozier thing comes to fruition in the coming days or weeks, it would likely involve at least 2 players (JDL & another) on the 40-man roster clearing enough space for Dozier, Turner and Jansen. Then they could just put Yimi on the 60-day right before the season.

This is kinda why I think they would want to do the 2B trade before finalizing the Turner/Jansen deals. They can keep Garcia on the roster, then 60 day him when/if the team needs to activate a non-40 guy inseason.

    No way, Jose!

Can't field. Declining bat. 36 years old. Costs a draft pick. He's a douche.

Ziegler signed with the Marlins. Should be available in trade talks come June/July.

Random Note: Today was the one year anniversary of the deal that brought us Thompson, Montas and Johnson.
