Cubs had a regular season ERA of 5.06 in the 8th inning.

Worst in baseball. Huge weakness that will have cost them both games this series now

I don't know if I'd call Kersh calm and collected in the reg season. He's turned into a loon in the reg season when enough shit doesn't go his way. Now, you look at a guy like Lester..and maybe he's not the perfect example, but yeah, Lester is pretty cool out there in all situations. Maybe its because he already has WS titles in his back pocket and there's no pressure on him, don't know. Sometimes I feel like the best manager for Kershaw would be Phil Jackson. Lol Get Kersh into some zen stuff. I always felt like Kersh would eventually grow out of it and just be too tired to go berserk

I don't know any star pitchers who don't react without some sort of aimed frustration when calls aren't going their way. He shows more frustrations than most others when he makes a mistake and he pays for it, but he still has the demeanor that of a man who is in control of a game. In the playoffs, I feel he has a different look about him. He doesn't appear to me like a guy who owns the mound as much a guy who appears to be feeling his way through the game. Slouched shoulders, mouth open with a look of shock is well imprinted into my mind.

Guys like Kluber and Glavine may be as close as you can get to elite types that fully control their emotions out there, a young guy like Stras as well. They all show a little to varying degrees. Old Doc Halladay was good about it too. But yeah, like you said, he shows more frustration than most. Just in his DNA I guess. Long ABs in the post get him a little frazzled, more than long ABs in the reg season. Can't quite put our finger on it, but here's hoping we're not on the trail of a career long post choker

Dream scenario tomorrow is that Gio/Max and Hendricks all pitch.

In that case, Strasburg/Gio/Max/Lester/Arrieta/Hendricks wouldn’t be available until game 3 or would be available for game 2 on some shortened rest (which we saw negatively affect Ray)

Awesome scenario for the Dodgers. Let’s do this.

No way! That’s even more awesome man. When you don’t got a deep bullpen, shit like this happens and man will it favor the Dodgers. Obviously, it won’t be easy to face whoever they throw out there but it doesn’t hurt to have these guys throw out all there pitchers

I had no idea how rough the Cubs pen was, but yeah them using up Quintana and Hendricks too would make for an ideal matchup

Yeah I honestly thought their pen was better but it ain’t that good. Man, they’d be a great matchup cause they are way less talented than the Nationals but the thought of losing to the Cubs physically hurts me whereas losing to the Nationals gets me angry but not as much
