I'm seeing the same. There's this chick on Twitter that's been ahead of everything during this process. She had the LAD/Harp meeting last week, knew it was going to happen. Says she has some fam connection with the LAD FO. She's been pretty locked in. Weird.

FWIW, I keep seeing that this thing is a done deal..Harp to LAD for 10yrs/$310M. She's agreeing with it, saying it could be being agreed to as we speak, dotting i's and crossing t's

Yasiel Puig admitted to ESPN recently what was evident to most who were paying attention to the Dodgers in recent years.

He didn’t work hard in Los Angeles.

That’s not even the best part. Puig, as candid as ever, also admitted to the time-honored tradition of professional athletes not hustling when they have contract security.

"The last couple years, I didn't work hard because I still have a contract to go," Puig said. "Now I think I'll work hard more than any year in my life."

 

Puig is all talk. That’s his game. Deflects all the negative attention to him.

He is the Cuban Forrest Gump. Goes to show that you don’t have to be to bright to be rich bitch.

A 10 year deal would be extra cool because all the big names are reporting the Dodgers interest as being a short term deal only, like its fact. In reality they are just parroting each other. We are due for a “Harper signing with the Phillies” report soon.

Don't know who this former MLB'er Josh Stinson is or what kind of connections he has, but he's taking a lot of heat for saying Harp/LAD is a lock and done. Twitter news timeline has him front and center

Don’t know what this guy has to gain by posting this, true or not. I looked it up, he’s a former MLB pitcher with 52 total innings across 4 years. Drafted by the Mets, played for the Mets, Brewers, and Orioles. He was teammates with Manny Machado and Justin Turner if that means anything.

 

Oh. Have to imagine JT would know something, probably even be in on the recruiting process to some degree.

 

JT is also very involved with the MLBPA, so he probably knows everybody.

Am I the only one who thinks we should keep Verdugo if we sign Harper? I mean, yeah, if you can get Kluber..great. But there's no indication the Indians want or need to make that trade.
Plus, with the way the Dodgers have treated Verdugo, you'd have to think they would have traded him already if the Indians were in.
