Rough outcome but still a fun experience. Hubert Davis is as good at coaching as Dave Roberts is at managing.
I just realized I misrepped your team. I thought you said you were an NC State guy. I feel like a dick now. I absolutely know the difference between those fanbases but somehow I conflated them. Good way to get killed to confuse Tarheels & Wolfpacks. Sorry about your guys losing. Tough one.
No worries! I knew it wasn’t intentional. UNC basically has to win the ACC Tournament to go dancing now…yikes. Preseason number 1 to NIT.
On a roadie to NC a few years ago a local suggested we visit the chapel at Duke. Not exactly my cup of tea, but being a compliant husband, I relented. It was incredible. Rest of the campus was beautiful as well.
same thought jones might be rusty from the time off and that the extra weight could slow him down nope
Bracket Challenge, bitches... No charge, but winner gets a dream date with @THINKBLUE ... Fill in your own blanks, gays... It is called "We Bad,We Nationwide" Link
Was that you that joined already? If so, I could freeze a pan of lasagna and UPS it if you win. That's what I'm doing here in Tucky. I've got about fifty students and dozen teachers in a league and I make a pan of bison/pork/beef lasagna for the top four to share. But stacked against a date with TB ... that's nothing.
Ditto Furman. Great thing, these single elimination tourneys. Teaches some of these elitist programs to keep focus. They get complacent. Good life lesson to play out the season.
I went to games 3 and 4 tonight in Sac. Northwestern vs Boise St was entertaining. UCLA was a blowout. But people I spoke to who went to game 2 said they've never seen a more listless team than the Wildcats, and because of that almost the entire crowd was cheering for Princeton at the end. Serves them right.
UofA lost a couple games earlier this year (Standord, ASU) in exactly the same fashion, where they were well ahead of an inferior team in the second half, thought they had the game won, quit trying and found a way to lose the game. They have multiple top 10 wins, including UCLA twice, but they just couldn't bring the intensity for 40 minutes against bad teams that slow the game down These Wildcats couldn't change their stripes.
