    It was 7-2. 5 run lead, bases loaded
    Criteria for a save is:
    1) Pitch final 1 or 2 innings of win and your team is ahead by 3 or less when you enter the game OR
    2) Pitch at least final 3 innings of game and it doesn't matter what the score is as long as your team is ahead when you come in and ahead when you finish it. OR
    3) (This is that scenario) come in with the tying run in the on deck circle and you finish the game (these usually occur pitching less than an inning)
    with a 5 run lead and the bases loaded, the potential tying run was in the on deck circle with the first batter he faced upon entering the game.

    I liked last night's lineup. I wish Dave would take the hot bats approach more than the L/R thing when selecting the starters. Right now the hot bats (in addition to Turner who starts every game) belong to Joc, CT, Puig, and to a lesser extent, Belly. I'd like to see these guys start the remainder of the season to see if they can be counted on in the post. Joc, in particular, seems to be hitting lefties better lately than his career average would indicate.

    He's given Puig a couple opportunities against left-handers because he's hot, and from what I've seen it hasn't worked. The platooning is maddening, but Dave doesn't have much choice. It's how the roster was constructed and we're just going to have to suck it up, I'm afraid.

    If Turner, Machado, and Bellinger did their job (be consistent, middle-of-the-order staples), the platooning on the outer core wouldn't be as big of a deal. Turner is the only one who has done his part.

    machado has been a disappointment
    not quite of reddick proportions, but still
    and bellinger is seriously schizo...
    one minute looks like he's back, the next like he's never played baseball before
    love turner, but he's shown some defensive chinks (no racist) lately

    dodgers lineup: Taylor LF Turner 3B Freese 1B Machado SS Hernandez CF Kemp RF Dozier 2B Barnes C Ryu P

    Honestly, that lineup is ugly but wtv. We need some of those guys, especially the top 6, to get hot against lefties. Hopefully they pop some homers today
