The Dodgers confirmed the promotions of several front office members, including Logan White and De Jon Watson, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. White and Watson had been assistant GMs and are now vice presidents. They are both considered GM candidates within the industry. Good idea to throw some fun money at the guys who made it happen and more importantly, further ice Logan JIC Ned wears out his welcome.....
I don't know what this means for NedCo but I am glad De Jon got a promotion, he is an unsung hero in this organization. Congrats gentlemen!
For Christ sake, just get rid of Ned and do what you have to. Do we still have to move around at glacial speed at turning the inevitable? I don't mean to be a darK cloud, but I must ask, Darth...what did they make happen? Kershaw is a potential HoF talent, OK. Kemp has possibly the same. Possibly. But outside of that, what have they made happen? So far, anyway ? Anyone else that came up with "phenom" potentials, is somewhere else...Broxton, MacDonald, Martin, De La Rosa (sadly), Santana and a whole host of others too numerous to name. The list is huge. Maybe it's just a case of the LA PR machine being too much for it's own good...IDK. But I think there has been some over rating going on. Especially with position players coming through. It's been average at best; probably below. Other teams have left us in the dust.... I'd like either of these two for a shot at GM though. We need a change in GM, along with everything else that's changed. Ned is stale
Well, you have to admit there must be a reason why when other teams have courted him even FUCKFACE raided his couture shirt fund and gave him enough dough to stay, and now he's getting VP money. He's a good talent evaluator with a good down line of scouts that would be tedious to replace. That, and if/when they jettison Ned, Logan is there if they want him. Solid chess move, IMO.
Brilliant. No doubt an organizational coup...I guess I'm basing everything on results, which is perhaps unfair. But watching SF go into modern history as a "great" team during this age of supposed "powerhouses' they come up against , is getting old. I have thought though, based on the merry go round we've been experiencing at so many position in recent seasons, there was a bit of over rating going on. EJECT NED!
Great post-wish I would have thought of it. I have written repeatedly however, "if Ned is damn good, why the hell did they let him go"?...indeed. We must put an end to this SF bullshit now. There is something intrinsically wrong with they way it has been recently. Do any of you guys know what Quoyannaquatsi means? "Life out of balance".
