We don't have one going, so might as well get it started with someplace to chat about the games!

Betts, Muncy, Bellinger, Hernandez, Smith, Beaty, Rios, Peters, McKinstry and Strip on the bump. That is A LOT of pop in that lineup, lol

Hope our pitching holds up. Hate to lose games 10-9.

Should not be a problem. The rotation has solid depth and some big time upside while the bullpen should be improved over last year as well. Losing Ryu was a big hit and while Maeda was great for the back of the rotation they have some guys coming that should be better than Maeda in the long run. Urias and May both have potential down the road to step in for Ryu and since both are power pitchers with front end talent, they could be more valuable in a playoff run. The kids on the way are going to be good, and not blocking them was the right call.

Stripling looked good in his first outing while Floro was showing the same issues that he as in recent seasons where he is dominating an AB, then just can not locate that last pitch easily.

    • For those that missed it the other day, Wood was sitting 92-93 with his FB. For those wondering, the last time his velo was at that level was 2017. There have been a couple of reports about just how good he looked at Driveline and there is some confidence that he has what it takes to maybe have a huge bounce back year. He sat 89-90 the last two seasons.
    • Jansen's cutter was also 92-93 in his first outing of the spring. Last year it was 85-87.

Uceta threw an absolutely ridiculous changeup. Stuff is not overpowering, but more of that and he could be interesting.

Cody Thomas with a bomb. Dude has big time pop and could be another interesting backup OF'er in the pipeline.

And Estevez with the big fly now. Had a hot hot hot start in 2019 before an injury impacted the rest of his year.

With all the undulating bullshit that has gone on in this momentous, pitiful, and head shaking off- season, one thing remains absolutely the same. Like granite.
The umpires still suck elephant penis.

de Geus has absolutely no feel for his pitches and Gonzalez didn't either. Bummer as I wanted to see these guys at their best as they are both likely to make it up this year.

Then Dennis Santana comes in with some absolute filth and strikes out the side. The pitch that was a double was not even bad. If he could throw like that out of the pen, I would be very happy

And Pollock goes ya-ya on a lefty. BTW, Seager is having some solid AB's in the early going.

I could have sworn that de Geus was the one pitching, but apparently it was Brussard. de Geus is in now.

Wasn’t able to watch closely as I was laying the floor in my wife’s new studio, but some interesting bits from today.
    • While he didn’t strike anyone out and had to work a bit. A noticeably larger Josiah Gray sat 94-97 in his outing and had Angels hitters a little uncomfortable. Generally sat 93-95 a year ago.
    • Kenley had another stellar tuneup where he was 93-94 and had 3 K’s. He’s now struck out 5 of the 6 batters he’s faced this year.
    • Giancarlo Stanton has a hamstring issue and is likely to miss opening day.
