With the 4th OF spot sort of in the air, the Dodgers needing some kind of RH power coming from the bench, is it time to play Alex Castellanos? The guy is 26 already, so I dont know how much more development he could have, has always been a good hitter, can play the OF (not sure if CF tho), some 3B and even was tested for some 2B (but I think that was a disaster)...

right now the bench if FedEx (c), Hairston (LF, 3B), Schumaker (2B, OF) and Punto (2B), and I see that we need a backup 1B, but are we just gonna let another good kid rot in the minors?

I don't think it matters if Castellanos can play CF - between Kemp, Schumaker and Crawford. And I don't think it matters if we have a backup 1B because AGonz should play 99% of the time, and I'm assuming Punto or Hairston can field the position in an emergency.

I think the path is clear for a player like Castellanos.
