well i had a smashing Christmas w a full house at my mom's and everyone cooking and contributing it had been a long time since we had that kind of turnout and typically my brother would just grab wood ranch or stonefire it was a good time before but redundant in cuisine and dwindling participation so it was sort of like going from first gen color to oled with people all helping and laughing totally different dynamic and it was crazy to notice the kitchen was occupied by those that will carry on when the rest of us are gone lots of love in the room and the musicians in the family played a bit, but not too much, and a good time was had by all only sadness for me was learning from my gay nephew that he indeed has begun to take hormones said he wasn't cutting anything off but compared it to changing the chassis on a car... when he came out to me some 5 years ago i had only one request and that was not to play God w his body he assured me he wasn't going that direction and i didn't mention it again until he brought it up last night i had seen he was wearing more effeminate clothes lately, which is fine, but had a suspicion it was going elsewhere so far its laser surgery for his facial hair and mild hormones provided for free of course by our sick society he swears he'll never cut it off and that this is just him trying to refine his look and lower his testosterone but i fear the worst while telling him i'll never turn my back on him i also calmly stated he is suffering a mental illness and his dysmorphia was irrevocable and eternally painful really fucking hate how easy it is, and even fashionable, for these kids to play God as society applauds them for their bravery going to start searching for any type of psychologists that specialize in deprogramming these type of things and leading people back to sanity i think he'll at least listen to them if i can line it up kid is Mensa level intelligent so he has all the answers our fucked up society provides to justify his desire to engage in this bizarre mutilation only thing that was disappointing to a fantastic night but what a major kick to the stomach
