    Well you know players pick up on things like this. If your skip looks like he checked out, what message did that send the players? They tanked it bad from that point on to yesterday's game.

    I think even Peralta was shocked he got sent in after Johnson.

    This is exactly NOT the body language, verbal statements, or actions you want to show your team.

    I almost expect Donnie to be called into the Guggs office if the Dodgers get shelled again today. If giving up floats down to When Greinke and Kershaw pitches, he's just got to go for the team and the Guggs sakes.

    the sad part is it's not limited to the 7th and 8th innings
    remember how long it took for him to drop the (then) struggling rollins from the top of the order?
    doesn't matter how many great players you have if you have an incompetent skipper behind the wheel
    i have nothing against dbb personally, but he's in over his head imo
    not entirely his fault; the team should have had him get some experience managing in the minors (see tim wallach) instead of being torre's lap dog
    people seem to forget... if not for puig helping turn the ship around in 2013, he would have -- and should have -- been fired then
    not saying the team still can't win with him in charge, it just makes it harder (again, imo)

    I think the FO sees Bolsinger as insurance in case or when Anderson or someone in the SR gets hurt.

    I would like to see him in the BP too instead of Johnson but you know this FO is not going to wave the white flag on the trade they made only a few weeks ago. I'm affraid we're stuck with Johnson for awhile. Peralta hopefully fucks off for good and Yimi gets back to getting guys out again.
