This exactly. How many has Hanley/Puig/Kemp/Ethier/AGon even been in? At least Hairston, Skip, and Punto have done it somewhere...LOL. Disclaimer: I am in no way saying I want Hairston on the post season roster.
I was trying to stay away from this argument... but since you brought it up... Hairston, Punto, and Skip sat there and watched Albert Pujols and A-Rod go off in the postseason. To say that they were in any way a key reason why they each have a ring is silly. It's like giving praise to Brian Scallabrine for the Celtics winning.
OK, I see you don't understand that baseball is a team sport. That explains the way you "root" for your team. Ignore my point that ANY 3 of them contributed to a WS Championship more than Hanley, Puig, Kemp, Ethier, and AGon combined somewhere. that was the point. Your argument does not change that.
I root for all of them. I don't agree with penalizing good players because they were on shitty/mediocre teams.
Again, what does this have to do with anything? was I penalizing them? LOL, it's cool to penalize players if they strike out or something though. get a clue man.
My point is, why are you penalizing a player like Hanley for being on the shitty Marlins? I get that it's a team sport and not everyone can be a star; but to say that Hairston/Skip/Punto were essential parts to the Cardinals or Yankees winning a World Series is stretching it.
I'm not penalizing ANYBODY, I'm not saying anybody should go fuck themselves, get AIDs, Die, etc. Hanley is IMO the best player on the Dodgers this season...the MVP!!! I simply stated a fact...he has NEVER contributed to a WS Championship. That's a FACT, it's not an opinion or a punishment, or a slam on Hanley. Why is that not getting through to you?
Yeah, and then all the bullshit type posts escape the GTs and appear in the other threads. I know what the problem is. It'll be the decline of this place IMO...well it already is in the GTs.
Well, you originally said: "Ignore my point that ANY 3 of them contributed to a WS Championship more than Hanley, Puig, Kemp, Ethier, and AGon combined somewhere." I can almost guarantee that I misinterpreted what you meant there. I took that as you penalizing those players you listed because they haven't played on a WS team and praising the 3 vets. It is a fact that Hanley has never contributed to a WS Championship, but that's not his fault (so far). Pretty sure I just didn't understand the point you were making.
