That's the problem. The A and B graders are still living in hope these FUX will wake up and think about doing some "Actual" good.
I blame Ned Colletti, that cock smoking power bottom shit sandwich eating's stink is making the nerds lose focus and it causes them to do fucked up decisions. Fuck him to.
So that's why they kept him around...so he could absorb the blame when people started realizing where this FO is headed...I get it now. Scapegoat.
At this point, simply disregarding the lineup's volatile ebb and flow, the starting rotation is: the best in bb, and then, with the last performance of Maeda, four question marks in a row...every rotation cycle. Or maybe three, a "pretty good shot" with Kenta then (hopefully), and three big question marks. And this is what the highest payroll in bb earns you...an A or B. ?? Maybe it all gels in the end...sure hope so...but right now, that's a pretty low bar.
would look a lot better if it were kersh/urias/deleon/ryu pick your #5 from mehcarthy/anderson/wood/stripling the future can't come soon enough
Actually, you're wrong. Being one of those graders, I'm still living in hope that some players actually turn it around and play up to potential. Howie has pretty much been shit, but it's a well known fact he's a second half player. At this point, I hope Roberts realizes that. Joc could turn the corner at any moment. Seager will eventually fulfill his potential. A-Gon is in decline, but he could still be valuable down the stretch. I think it's pretty clear Turner is playing hurt, and b2b is absolutely right when he said his success as a starter was bound to catch up to his part time portfolio. We should see at least one of the injured starters come back to at least average performance. Which will make a 2-3 win difference over our current rotation. I'm not looking at the trade deadline for major fixes. I'm looking at that timeline for a bit of return to normalcy and roster restoration. Yes, we could pick up a piece or two, but I'm not looking for major changes. The last two years should be proof that it's not happening.
WOW! Does mediocrity really sit this well with you? I hope you're right about some of the guys getting better but if they were to stand pat at the deadline with the team as it even with them hitting better, again, that just PROVES they are lame as fuck if they fail to improve it for a deeper run. I also seem to recall Vin saying the Howie's April average is .293 so there's that....
Well, how about that bullpen lately? Coleman looks the goods against righties, was he a nerd move? Looks solid.
agreed but i have to admit not feeling good seeing hatcher warming up but they've all performed admirably lately
I don't trust Hatcher or Baez when it matters most. Still needs to be fixed. But if they want to do okay until we find better pitchers, I'm cool with that.
I didn't say they would stand pat, I said they would pick up a piece or two. Also, some minor league call ups could make a difference.
Standing pat would be better than what their deadline track record is. They have to stop trying to make headlines for their "cuteness", forget about dumpster diving and actually improve the team. Can you imagine???.
serious question... what will the nerds do at the deadline if we're leading the division (which we won't be)? what if we're <5 games back? what if we're 10 games back? i fear the answer is the same nothing
The nerds are having a tough go so far. But maybe they can get the grade up to a c by years end. I'll have to check the data though. Face it. The nerds are close to being total failures. That shit rotation isn't gonna change. We will bring in a late BP addition that will be a c+ at best. We will trade a couple youngsters for a vet sp on a shit team that is just under .500 but has an ok era because the computers say so. Grade D+ The nerds aren't panicking though because analytics are telling them the nl west is a shit division. GRADE C. A computer program named beane69 just sent an alert that all you need to do is get into the playoffs and anything can happen. Grade A. Add all those up numbers wise and you get 3.14. Which means in terms of failure it will all come full circle for the nerds very soon. Grade D-
The fucking NERDS are the Dodgers Obama. Decades of greatness and history unwound in just a couple years by infidel, alien, SABR Fucktards!
TIMESTAMP: SO, we're now closer to the bottom of the NL West than the top and, for good measure, Maddon, the best manager in MLB, who we could have had, (read: FUCK UP # 976) is with the the team with the best record in MLB. 1 reliable pitcher then shit. erratic offense horrendous BP We are several players away when we were only 2-3 for a few years running. 95% of everything these HACKS have done has turned to shit! Still a HUGE payroll for a <.500 team with no floor in sight until CC, AE and maybe AGon finish their deals. The NERDS are going for the luxury tax threshhold, which is not what we were led to believe we were going to be. Question is: If we take the cellar does GuGGs jettison? Unless attendance drops WAY down probably not. We're in for a rough go for a long time unless the untouchables over perform like motherfuckers.
