I still don't entirely accept that the teams we have to play as opposed to SFcocksucker is a distinct advantage...it might ge tougher for them than it has been for the past months, but those " sub par" teams have played us pretty tough, and all seem generally to be playing their best ball of the season. Of course. Odd too, that we are playing like we are without Kershaw, and the Marlins are playing like they are without Dee Gordon. As a thought, if this shit keeps up, does Donnie get manager of the year?
Well, another thing to keep in mind (and this may not come to fruition with what looks like a mediocre trade deadline approaching) is that the "good" teams should get better, and the "bad" teams should get worse with trades. But baseball teaches us time and time again that in the context of a single game, or even a short 3-game series, we won't always see expected results based on how good/bad a team is. So the schedules should be taken with a grain of salt, but in theory it favors us.
#Dodgers lineup @Cardinals: Utley 2B Seager SS Turner 3B Gonzalez 1B Kendrick LF Grandal C Pederson CF Van Slyke RF McCarthy P Seager back! Cautiously excited for this series... I should be dreading it though
Yesssssssssssssss!!!! About Seager that is. Boy do we need the 1st 5 to do something tonight!!!!!!!!!!!
And it looks like it's Barnes that'll be called up. Hope he gets any start that would originally go to AJ
Agreed But then why have AJ at all? Would the Kershaw best friend thing pretty much be literal at this point?
That's my question. Only purpose he serves on this team is that he serves as CKs personal catcher so now that CK is out for a while no need for him to even take up a roster spot at this point. Phantom DL his ass like fien and hatcher
