Votto is lame. I don't get how that Pizza story is funny or interesting. Not even clever and a freaking waste of food
Yeah, coulda donated $ 800 worth of food to a homeless shelter or any worth while organization that feeds people. Jerkoff millionaires.
True. I'm sure he makes charitable donations already but wasting food in particular is so so lame. Plus, it wasn't even clever or funny anyways. I've heard like 3 different announcing crews talk about it like it's some sort of interesting or amusing story. It was stupid.
Definitely glad to be going into the Giants series with a lead all though very small....today and yesterday couldn't have gone any better. I am scared about our lineup vs Bum/Moore and about Hill/Thursday's starter. A lot of question marks going into this big series while the Giants have their rotation set up perfectly with their top 2 and their lefty starter they acquired specifically for us. We are going to need a guy like Kike or Segedin to step up in order for us to win the series imo.
This lineup is unreal This pitching is scary as fuck But here we are in 1st place with help on the way.
No excuses for his performance but Kazmir getting an examination of his neck and back on Monday. Put him on the dl with the rest of the non-performing starters already. Not including Kersh of course.
Lol John Ireland just said on the radio that Cueto has been better than Bumgarner this year. "14 wins.."
You know, there is a fine line between "roughing it out" and putting your team in jeopardy. It seems that other than Kershaw, who shut it down after one shakey start, these other pitchers are just bs'ing their injuries or not a good judge of figuring their bodies out. We need every win we can get, and a healthy ok pitcher is better than an injured ok pitcher any day.
Perhaps, but when he comes back, do we have to endure 1-0 scores where Kershaw has to essentially be perfect to win a game?
Very well could be that the boys had to dig a little deeper during this stretch. But I think I'd rather take my chances with the best pitcher on the planet in the rotation for the rest of the year and the playoffs.
That's really what I meant. I've always called pitching part of the D, since the D has the ball, the greatest thing about the greatest sport.
