I'm here in San Rafael for a tournament and I am just amazed at how many media up here think the series is over. One show even had the audacity to say KD is better than LeBron????
Jackson still scares me a non 5 who is a really questionable shooter is red fucking flags He has all around upside but Ball is still the play IMO
May or may not mean much, but Luke actually played his final year with Waiters in Cleveland, so he more than likely has some insight here + from what I gather, Waiters and Kobe are close ( through Pelinka and Philly ties I imagine) and it's been reported that Magic/Pelinka are somewhat leaning on Kobe and his knowledge of players. Aside from that, if Waiters can play for Pat Riley I'm sure Magic would at least give Waiters some consideration if the price is right and if they're able to unload Clarkson as well. Again, the numbers say Waiters ( if he truly is the guy he was this past season and in his soph campaign) is a slight upgrade over Clarkson offensively, but perhaps with more potential and the eye test definitely does him justice as he performed very well against some of the league's top teams this year. Dude is a handful when he's on his game..6'4" 220-225lbs, a tank with the ball in his hands..call him a primary ball handler or a primary ball handler off the bench or a lead guard, whatever. He can also play off the ball some. Ultimately, could be a piece that LAL is looking for in their pursuit of the Warriors as he's too strong for many of the PGs in the league including Curry..potential matchup advantages all over the place for him.
Jordan Schultz ✔ @Schultz_Report Per source, the #Lakers would pass on Lonzo Ball if #nbadraft was today. Team isn't convinced he's a star and remains concerned about LaVar. 4:07 PM - 3 Jun 2017 Jordan Schultz ✔ @Schultz_Report Per source, re Lonzo Ball: "It's not even close right now. Ball won't be a Laker unless they really start 2 buy into him as a star." #lakers 4:22 PM - 3 Jun 2017
Don't understand it either. He can score in bunches and gave the team a really friendly contract to stay in LA. What more could you ask for?
He has his flaws, mainly one of them not running Luke's offense as he tends to hold onto the ball too long, aka ball stopper
The film actually wasn't that bad, at least in terms of Fox tearing Ball apart Lonzo wasn't checking him enough in iso for that much hype UCLA played their share of zone and UK also used their share of screens to eliminate Lonzo Problem with the latter is Lonzo was going over the screen and Fox isn't that good a shooter from the outside Some were just well-timed screens and solid for sure, and bad communication by his teammates, but he fucked up a few times The Lonzo hype, folks just get caught up in it because it's fun..fun to see what Lavar is gonna say, drama, etc. Josh Jackson was the #1 high school player in the nation..Fox was #3..Lonzo was like 7th or 8th And neither Jackson nor Fox disappointed, both lived up to the hype..legitimate concerns for Lonzo..legitimate consideration by LAL They both put together a full schedule's worth of work
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...-physicality-play-dirty-golden-state-warriors Pretty much all they can do Although, injuries and suspensions could always strike and reshape the matchup
Schultz report? Never heard of this guy. Lonzo hasn't even worked out for the team yet so can we really take this source as gospel?
