i thought besides being in a slump of epic proportions that grandy has never hit LH pitching very well so start him against one of the best in the league ok
Sweet... Strike 3 is ball 4 to Martinez and we immediately pay for it. This has been a fun 24 hours of umpiring
Worst part of this game is having Charlie Steiner doing play-by-play on TV. Have an at-bat Yasiel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really? Worse than the 8 runs given up in the first innings of these last two games? To each his own, I guess.
Slumps happen and the Bags are hot and at home. I predicted losing 2 of 3 so not surprised. Charlie Steiner just hurts my ears.
It is not wise to miss middle-middle when you top out at 90 MPH. Ryu looks toast tonight in what is very likely his final start of the season.
could have tossed kike outfield, barnes infield and grandmal catches idk just torturous to watch and it just got worse
I just said it a minute ago, but this should be it for him this season as a starter. Next 5 days will have Maeda, Kershaw, Darvish(Stewart gm 1), Wood and Hill. With the woes we are having from the left side in the bullpen, I would really like to see what Ryu could do down the stretch when he knows he is only needed for one inning.
Could be Alzheimer's also...for the Dodgers. Can't remember shit..how to hit, how to pitch, how to field somewhat, too. In a fucking daze. When somebody bitches and moans about a stadium, like this one, or Coors, isn't the air thin and warm and the fences the same fucking distance for the Dodgers too? Or only the home team?
Normally they would be A-Gon 0 - 11 vs Ray at 1st and Belli in LF, Grandmal sucks at hitting right handed and Kyle Farmer the 3rd catcher was optioned to AAA so risky to have 2 catchers out there at once. Never seen Logan or Barnes at SS so you could be onto something there. Help is on the way which will eliminate these issues.
I'd like to see it too, for curiousity's sake. But it's not like velocity is a factor...very little. If he has his command then he'll be good for an inning. If like tonight, he'll suck hard.
I'd like to see him work effectively out of the pen down the stretch some before I would trust him in the playoffs. I don't think he's a slam dunk to succeed in that role by any means.
