Going to be interesting to see how the Dodgers approach this series. Just need to win 1 game now and HFA is fully ours. Only problem is that the Rockies magic number is still 2 and so they are going to be out there trying to wrap this thing up. I know I mentioned it earlier, but Bowden reaffirmed it this morning. These pitchers are well aware of who they are playing against next week so they are going to be doing things that they would not normally do to fuck with hitters, even if it costs them hits/runs. He said he talked to some Nationals pitchers when they were playing the Dodgers. I guess they figured based on the Dodgers schedule that they were going to snag NL HFA so they took it upon themselves to break the scouting reports when they played us. He said that is the road that most organizations will take. They would rather blow a game now if it gives them an advantage in the playoffs. Should be interesting to see what the staff does at Coors this week. Would love to win today, see the Brewers win as well and the Rockies have to squirm against Kershaw and Darvish just fucking around.
Neither Kershaw nor Darvish pitched in our last series against Arizona and our series against the Nationals, and I wondered back then if that was by design. In both series Kershaw could have pitched the last game on normal rest. But it could also just be coincidence since we used a 6-man rotation (5 days rest) all month. I expect whatever the gameplay is for Kershaw and Darvish this series, their outings will be extremely short.
respect the game and do your best to sweep the rox that said... priority should be on prepping for the post, resting guys who need it and -- above all -- staying healthy if that means throwing a bunch of scrubs out there, so be it if milwaukee doesn't like that, fuck em... they should have won more games themselves

Too bad we can't face the Giants and Padres in the post. Most of our starters are in there tonight. So it shouldn't make a difference if the game matters or not. What, do they just try less? They're getting pummeled just like they did a few weeks ago at Dodger Stadium against this Rockies team. If we are to play Colorado or Arizona, Ryu is going to have to pitch in those ballparks in game 4. This whole situation smells bad.
