Wait, wasn't Carlo the one that got garrotted? So a Full Carlo should be the garrotter and not the garrotted. Just wanted to clarify.
If you're anti-depth, don't click the following link.. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/20861508/what-dodgers-depth-means-their-world-series-hopes
Well...0-10 in the post since the last ring. Didn't realize it was that bad... Two teams have a winning record against us...guess who the two are? Of Kershaw's 4 losses, 2 are against CO. And one in DS. Fuck it. None of it matters. New ledger...new numbers.
Ok guys......so what do you think the roster will be on Friday. Here is my guess: SP - Kershaw/Hill/Darvish/Wood Bullie - Jansen/Morrow/Watson/Cingrani/Fields/Paredes/McCarthy OF - Granderson/Taylor/Puig (bench - Joc/Kiki) INF - Turner/Seager/Forsythe/Bellinger (bench - Utley/Gonzo) C - Barnes (Grandal/Farmer)
My guess is.... SP- Kershaw/Hill/Darvish/Wood(4) BP- Jansen/Morrow/Watson/Cingrani/Maeda/Fields/Baez/Stripling (8) with Wood in relief in games 1-2 INF Bellinger/Utley/Forsythe/Seager/Turner/Locastro (6) OF Granderson/Taylor/Puig/Ethier/Kike (5) C Barnes/Grandal
I really hope Baez is left off the roster, watching him pitch is like watching Giovanni Carrara circa 05/06.
I do too, but the rumor is the front office still loves him, Kenley is fighting for him and they apparently ID'd a mechanical flaw which has since been fixed and he has answered by going 4.1 ip, K'd 7(of last 9 outs) and given up 4 hits(one of which was a pitch on the hands fisted into the OF). I am sure they are going to give him another go or two this week before making a decision. I'm not saying I'm all aboard, but his appearances against the Rockies were interesting to watch as there was some very different movement coming out of his pitches and the Rockies looked legit overwhelmed. I say take that into next season and build on it, but the truth of the matter is that the BP arms used to fill things out have been underwhelming of late. Nobody took the reins so he may get the last BP spot as he shockingly had the better finish. Though I could see Fields being the RH mid inning emergency guy before the 8th and Maeda getting the RH full inning between the 6-7th and Baez is mop up guy.
Funny story about the guy who played Luca. Coppola said that apart from his pro wrestling stint, his background was....let's just say....dodgy. He understood the character. Anyway, in that scene where Luca is getting ready to meet the D'Tattalias, Coppola asked him if he knew how to put on a bullet proof vest and load a revolver, to which he replied "Are you fucking kidding me?" He pulled off the scene like a "pro." Needless to say Coppola didn't really need to ask for the details.
Dude I hope you are right. It looks like he did good against SF and SD which he should have. But also good against the ROX in COL. So that is encouraging. I would love to have our lock down bullie back.
just guessing... sp (4): kersh, hill, darvish, wood rp (8): kenley, morrow, maeda, watson, cingrani, parades, buehler (or fields), stripling c (3): grandal, barnes, farmer if (5): cody, corey, turner, logan, chase of (5): puig, kiké, grandy, taylor, dre
This has been repeatedly shot down as nothing more than a false rumor. The team reached out to Kenley before they were getting far along in the deal and he was fine with it. He was going to be the closer and they were going to use Chapman in a role similar to what we saw the Indians do with Miller. If he truly was that pissed, he doesn’t take a deal to go back to that team when they were overbid by two other clubs.
yup kenley is a team guy, a dodger of course he's going to pull for a guy like baez, a friend but he's not going to mope/pout he's going to do his job to the best of his ability regardless
selfish pipe dream... but i hope the rocks/d'bags play 30 innings, use every player, and are fucken exhausted
