    Nah. I was just stoked they played exactly on time, played all their classics, interacted with us, and kicked some ass. Pretty much everything I didn’t expect haha.

    Axl, Slash and Duff all together. They can milk me all they want, it was worth it. Another one ticked and done, onto the next.

    i think i told this forum about a year ago meeting slash at my event hall
    in case i didn't i was on the street opening doors for kids to jump out for a bar mitzvah and i open the door and well, ain't no one going to not know who that is
    he was super cool and adler was a street urchin/friend from the area so it was a quick fun exchange w both of us laughing and the line moving along
    he was with his now ex wife and both were really friendly for the 30 seconds or so i was standing in their car basically
    fwiw he was absolutely a guy that you could totally relax around and unpretentious
    anyone thats ever heard him interviewed knows all he ever wanted to do was play guitar in that band
    good for them and good for you that you got to be a part of it
    btw velvet revolver was seriously good as well
    saw them in santa barbara and fucking weiland may have been the last great rock star frontman idk
    kind of sad to think 89 was the last time a band of note took the stage

    I always thought Myles Kennedy tried too hard to make it about him, when it clearly wasn't. BTW, Axl is equally chill when he's in the mood to be just a "Regular guy from Indiana". He loves to smoke cigars and talk cars. He's got quite a collection of exotics.

    That’s a cool story. I think it was great they put their shit behind them, even if it was just to make bank. Pretty sure Axl got a new PR guy to change his shitty, bratty image.

    Funnily enough, speaking of Weiland. up until three or so years ago I wasn’t a huge STP guy. My girlfriends band play the song “Creep”. Got me hooked, their mainstream shit only got airplay here like Interstate Love Song. Meatplow, Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart, Vasoline. They got some good tunes, just never really made it huge down here like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and other bands of that era.

    i used to work with slash back in the 80's at a clock shop during xmas
    his real name is sol
    good dude but partied hard even back then
    the last night we worked (12/24) he said he had to get a bottle of tequila with a worm at the bottom
    we were in beverly hills on xmas eve and none of the liquor stores had it
    so we drove up to the strip and found it at some place off sunset
    we get back in my car and he cracks the bottle
    asks if i want some, i tell him i'm good
    he downs the whole fifth and eats the worm
    we hung for a couple hours listening to aerosmith in my car
    when he's leaving he asks if he can borrow the aerosmith tape (toys in the attic)
    never saw him again

    years later my brother (who used to work as a set photographer) was at a party and met him
    so my brother says "you used to work with my brother"
    slash says he has no recollection of me
    anyway, when the party is wrapping up my bro sees slash heading out and says "see ya sol"
    slash stops, turns around, and tells my brother...
    "hey scott, tell craig i still have his aerosmith tape"

    Roberts: No pool celebration if Dodgers eliminate D’backs in Arizona

    The Los Angeles Dodgers are back where it all began. In September 2013, they defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks to clinch the first of five consecutive National League West titles. A traditional champagne celebration in the clubhouse ensued.

    But a few Dodgers then carried that into the Chase Field pool. On Monday, the Dodgers can complete a sweep to eliminate the Diamondbacks from the NL Division Series. Naturally, the possibility led to a conversation over how the Dodgers may enjoy accomplishing as much.

    “That won’t happen,” manager Dave Roberts said of a potential pool celebration. “This is a completely different team, and I think we have bigger goals than to jump into a swimming pool.”

    Of the 2013 club, only Andre Ethier, Kenley Jansen, Clayton Kershaw and Yasiel Puig are on the Dodgers’ NLDS roster. Adrian Gonzalez was in his first full season with the team, but is now relegated to the taxi squad.

    Furthermore, the clubhouse culture is vastly different from when Matt Kemp, Hanley Ramirez and Puig, in his rookie season, were the stars. Because of that, Roberts was not inclined to address the situation.

    “There’s no point,” he said. “Our guys clearly understand what this team is about, and we have no interest in jumping in a pool in right field.”

    Since the postseason expanded in 1995, the Dodgers have twice taken a 2-0 lead in the NLDS. They swept the Chicago Cubs on the road in 2008, and dispatched of the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 3 at Dodger Stadium in 2009.

    Los Angeles can become the only team to sweep the Division Series this year. To do that they’ll need to give the Diamondbacks their first blemish in a do-or-die situation at home. Arizona is 6-0 all-time in such games.

    The only Slash story I have is I saw a TV interview once taken in his house, and a dinosaur that I sculpted for a resin model company was on a shelf.
