Just heard a lawyer on TV who called the verdict a " gross miscarriage of justice", based on the fact that this judge allowed testimony by 5 other women who said he did similar to them, but weren't plaintiffs...he said that Cosby has a great shot at the appeal. Outrageous he said. Forgot the guy's name, but I think he was Jewish.
Has anyone ever seen "Santa Clarita Diet"? After getting over the sad shock of a now flat chested Drew Barrymore, it's fairly entertaining, and silly funny often.
It's actually a fine line there. Under current rules of evidence, prior bad acts can't be used as evidence that a defendant engaged in that particular crime for which he or she is being tried. It can be used to show possible or probable motive, intent, planning, knowledge, lack of accident. In other words, it can be used as evidence of circumstances that more than likely surround the alleged crime. But once a jury hears all these prior bad acts, it's hard to unhear that testimony and make the fine distinction in the evidence rules. So it can be highly prejudicial. Usually, the judge and lawyers have a chance to craft judges instructions to the jury before deliberations to make this fine point clear, but it is still hard. BTW, I think Cosby is guilty as sin...there are too many similarities in the accusations. But you never know what an appeals court will decide, especially with the kind of lawyers Cosby can afford. Cosby will probably also be tried in many other jurisdictions where the crimes took place. This is really just the beginning.
Anybody else check out Giancarlo Stanton on Westworld last episode? Guy is awesome, even in a 5 minute part. Not enough Thandie/ Maeve for me so far.
Momma got a job. I am free. Paying off my credit card debt and car are the first two things on the docket. Beautiful day.
Get a creditkarma account and start playing the credit card interest game. Get a card with 6 to 12 months no APR and transfer as much debt to it. Try to pay it off in that time period obviously. They offer you loans you are prequalified for at low APR, 10k at like 6% so you can consolidate debt on them.
Only have one card with a balance on it, I plan on paying off the card in four months with bigger sized payments and being done with it. After that, then I'll focus on my car, putting money in my savings every paycheck and start saving money through roth ira, 401k, and other stuff I will look into.
Take a 10% off the top of every paycheck you make and put it into one of those savings accounts. If you know you will end up owing taxes at the end of the year then give that money to charity instead and take that deduction. You can give to battlechurch.org.
