Jonas per 36min = 24.5ppg/13.8rpg/1.5blk Zubac per 36min = 19.6ppg/11.3rpg/1.9blk Yes Jonas is projected better, but not by a ton. Given Zu's age at 21 and Jonas at 26, I think its viable to say they are close in value. Not sure id say that, but I do think it was a mistake.
Yes, Jonas is just better. And PER 36 is just projection/production based. Peer through the advanced numbers
Los Angeles LakersVerified account@Lakers We are saddened by the loss of longtime Lakers fan and legendary MLB pioneer Frank Robinson. The Hall of Famer was 83 years old. Rest in peace. Jeanie BussVerified account@JeanieBuss Our condolences to the family of Frank Robinson who was a loyal season ticket holder for almost 50 years. His presence at games inspired our players and staff because of his many accomplishments in sports and his devotion to family. #LakersFamily #LakersLove gary washburnVerified account@GwashburnGlobe Will miss seeing Frank Robinson at #Lakers games. Won't forget Mr. Robinson telling me to sit down at the media table at the old Forum so he could clearly watch the game. Definitely starstruck. #farewellhalloffamer
Of course, they are projections but that is all you can do at this point because of injury to Jonas and lack of playing time for Zubac.
No, it's not. The advanced numbers are in Jonas' favor as well. When Jonas is on the floor and Zubac is on the floor, Jonas outplays him. That's really all there is to it. You're homering hard as hell for Zu
Silver Screen & RollVerified account@LakersSBN 3m3 minutes ago The Lakers’ locker room is reportedly well aware that Luke Walton is likely to be fired at the end of the season. Well, they certainly better be up for playing for their money now.
Maybe. We certainly will see cuz it looks like Zubac is going to get more playing time cuz Boban was traded to the 76ers and Gordat is gona get bought out.
Well if Jason Kidd is the replacement im not sure that is an upgrade. Might be nice if Lonzo is still on the team though.
Also with this Muscala/Zu/Beasley trade..quiet as kept, LAL has increased it's cap space for this summer by nearly $4M Add that to the number that Bullock brought. LAL is at just over $43M in cap space now for this summer
Which he could very well be now, thanks to these trades. The numbers are tight, but LAL could conceivably trade every kid except Zo for AD and then still have almost $31M in cap space to go after Kawhi or Kyrie. Lol Below the radar, smooth..while everyone is riled up over the Pels' fuckery. They went from having $37M in cap space to just over 43
If they keep Zo while adding Kawhi in FA and AD through trade, that would be some defensive combination between those 3 But even if they don't get Kawhi and they go for Kyrie instead, keeping Zo would allow them to put him on the opposing team's best offensive guard ala Klay/Steph
Scratch that, they had around $31M in cap space before these trades. Forgot about Deng's money and the roster charge. Now they're at $40M. Zo @ almost $9M next year, could be spared from an AD trade and sea monster Lavar can let us live Lol
You see what he did for the future as well right? Check out that Philly Sixer RealGMVerified account@RealGM 4m4 minutes ago LeBron James just traded Russell Westbrook to Team Giannis for Ben Simmons.
Aaaaaaaaye. Ellington has competition. Ingram and Kuz want to pout..Morris can play Shams CharaniaVerified account@ShamsCharania Sources: The New Orleans Pelicans are releasing forward Markieff Morris, who is currently dealing with an injury.
You need to feed Zubac. This team already has enough players that need to feed. And it also needs roster spots for the buyout lottery coming soon. It just got two. Lakers have a lot of good players. Too many actually. But not the right mix of players. They were trying to be the Warriors kinda but without shooting. Which is why they brought in Luke Walton. Luke Walton needs to go. He is fucking with players in the ways he probably picked up from uncle Phil. I think these trades have signaled the end of the Luke/GSW inspired era. Magic needs and will instill the old school Lakers true Showtime system. The Warrior system is great but it is merely the shadow of Showtime. Magic and the Lakers have the real thing. If Lonzo plays full time and in the Showtime season leading the break all our players will improve drastically. Lavar Ball likes to exaggerate as literary device but there is direct truth behind every one of his performances. The power struggle with and between ownership the FO the coaching staff, the locker room or the LeBron brand is still a big problem with this team. That may be running the risk of putting non Rich Paul superstars off. Back to Zubac. He may turn out to be a good all star center. He has a lot of tools. We wont be feeding him though. Too many mouths to feed and sooner or later the plan is to bring in two supermouths to join LeBrons. There will barely be scraps for Ingram and Kuz. That's why Randle and IT and many other good players will be dispensable. Reggie Bullock and Mike Muscala are both good shooters and filled out adult professionals. Beasley is a volume scorer with no other contribution. If he was a SG like Lou Williams maybe but he's a big in our system. Bullock is a really good 3 and D wing that can stay in his lane and play his role perfectly. Muscala gives the team a true opposite to Tyson Chandler off the bench. Right now starter should be Javale with Chandler as the post defensive sub and Muscala as the perimeter shooting sub. A low post scorer that you need to feed slows down the offense. That works when its a two man game. Shaq and Kobe. Sports is not math. You cant just add up all the players potential value ratings on a team and say that equals how good a team is. Its very possible that certain players were brought in to this team for the purposes of killing the coach. The Walking Bucket come, he did his job, and now he's gone. PG: Lonzo 28, Rondo 20 SG: Ingram 32, Bullock 32 SF: LeBron 32, Bullock 32 PF: Kuzma 28, Muscala 20 C : Melo 28, Javale 20 Bullock the super sixth man and Muscala, Rondo, and Javale all being equal contributors as the supporting cast. Chandler, Lance, KCP, Hart, Wagner, Caruso all get DNP or limited minutes unless foul trouble, injury/rest, or trade. Go hard for the playoffs and try to shock the league with a big showing in the postseason. Free agents will be seeing that. But first you have to fire Luke and promote Shaw as head coach. So Lonzo, Ingram, and Kuzma can play in a system that will make them shine so they can grow into the stars of the future. And probably bring back the Tank Commander as defensive assistant coach. He earned it. This fixes the bad math. Balances the team. Creates a first team and a second team. Those who play get a good steady supply of minutes and have define roles that they know and execute. The rest don't get jerked around but are ready when needed to take someones place.
