I'm starting to consider rooting for the Dodgers to lose Not one player, coach, broadcaster, or groundskeeper (racist) that I like. My hatred for this team occurred in October 2018... ...When Dave pulled Hill for no reason and then the politics that ensued from it revealed the pussy character of our leadership can't even go to DS without getting mugged by a crackhead anymore. Anybody want to get in on the ground floor with the Long Beach Anals?
Game 3 is almost a must win with Ryu going against Max. Being down 2-1 having to face probably Corbin/Sanchez with Hill on the bump in game 4 will be bad news. Damn this line-up today was pretty garbage. Hopefully Pollock and Lux/Seager will sit and we can see Beaty and Freeze in there. Freeze has been pretty good against righties but what the fuck am I saying it will never happen.
The fact that we would even consider benching our supposed superstars...wow...no other team goes through this on an annual basis
You go on your first real vacation in years and you come back to the same CK garbage. I’m mean....really?
If they lose this year heads better roll. Dave has to be put out to pasture, maybe go manage the Padres. Trade Kershaw, Kenley, JT, Verdugo, Kelly, and Pollock to the Rockies for Arenado. Sign Rendon, then real aces Cole and Strassburg, bring back Ryu then get real closers Chapman and the other Will Smith. LF: Joc CF: Trout 3B: Arenado 2B: Rendon 1B: Muncy RF: Bellinger C : Smith SS: Meager Bench: Taylor, Kike, Beaty, Lux, Ruiz Starters: Strass, Cole, Ryu, Ferris, Urias Reliever: Chapman, Smith, Kenta, May, Baez, Strip, Gonsolin, Kolarek
I understand that this is hard but like, how in the world does Corey Seager not just be like “I really need to fix this one thing that if I fixed would make me one of the best players in the game”
waking up I have emblazoned on my eyelids the inexcusable strikeouts of AJ and meager in the 9th a WS quality team punishes Hudson in that spot he had nothing and threw shit pitches and yet we let him off the hook I'm in to the end but that was positively flaccid
I think we are an overall better team. But we don't have better pitching on the front line. They are better. It the Dodgers can't do their usual wear the starter down shit, and they couldn't with Strasburg, then they are just another strikeout prone team. Really proved that last night. The length of this series is now firmly our enemy, and using front line starters as RPs is definitely a winning MO for them. The Giants have shown it definitely can be done successfully. At least Martinez learned from Thursday night's result. And showed some initiative. If you're getting literally NOTHING from Seager, Bellinger and Pollack, (really an awful collective...just so bad) then really what chance do we have. ? Throw in Robots, with zero creativity and seemingly odd lineup construction that dilutes any strengths we have, Robots insistence on getting more than the key out of May, one of his trademark loser traits, and the loser yolk looks like a custom made fit for us again.
Strasburg's playoff totals TOTAL: 28 IP, 5 R, 2 ER, 4 BB He stepped up, as usual, like an ace should. I’d like to think that when we see him again (and we will) that we will light him up, but I’m not very hopeful. Best case is that Ryu and Hill pitch like they have in playoffs past because the way our hitters are going we’ll need all they got to win both games 1-0. Oh yeah, fuck Roberts and his “I’m the smartest mother fucker in the room” attitude. Just once I’d like to hear “I went with my gut” in choosing his lineup.
Same failure by the lineup to produce, too. Strasberg was unhittable last night. I understand that. But the Nat bullpen spread it legs and said "take me," but the Dodgers came up limp.
Give me a fucking break about Strasberg "pitching on three days rest." He threw 35 pitches on Tues. Yes, they were stressful pitches, but that amounts to about what he would have thrown during his regular workout that day. This isn't Sandy or Bumfuck throwing on two days rest. Sandy threw a complete game in Game 7 of the Series against the Twins in '65 and did it for the most part without his signature curveball, which he had no feel for that day.
Same result for sure, but we don't appreciate the new addition to his formula for choking? Lose velo..fuck it..just hit batters. As versatile a choker as there's ever been and I truly can't wait to see what's next. Same bat time..same bat channel..new episode.
