Noticed Otani (the last batter from the previous inning) was the runner placed on second. Is that the rule or can you put your runner of choice out there?

 

When Muncy came on the scene did so well early a lot of us (myself included) kept waiting for him to come back down to earth.

On two legs with two feet. He was the DH, so they’re playing him even after throwing. That Olson/Chapman play to get him was pretty slick.

 

I can’t emphasize enough how much I hate this playoff format and how it kind of ruined an already ruined season for me. Legit nothing matters we can get the 8 seed and have the same chance as the best record in the league.

 

I’d rather win the title in front of fans, and not have ceremonies then following season. But a title is a title, and I’m not going to complain about a title.

 

Right. If we don’t win this year I wouldn’t be as upset as previous years because of everything going on, but if we did win I’d count it as a real championship a thousand percent lol

 

I think Kapler is severely overrating the value his team gains. I can’t imagine hiding your starters consistently over the course of season without becoming predictable. Hopefully his players know ahead of time who’s starting, and if they warm up multiple guys hopefully the warmup fits into the routine of the guy not starting, otherwise he’s creating a clusterfuck for his own guys.

I am happy that we aren’t platooning this year, so it really doesn’t matter for our lineup. But also, it’s the giants, no one cares who is starting.

 

Wood was a good signing for one year but it’d be a disaster if we gave him a multi year deal after this. Let him go and turn to Urias, May and Gonsolin

 

And my boy David Price.

 

Wood still sucks, and always will. He had his apogee a few years ago with us, and will be a weak link, especially against the better teams.
His pitch looks like a grapefruit hanging up there waiting to get barrelled up, imo.
