http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/06/dodgers-to-sign-yasel-puig.html Remember people were saying how much the Dodgers overpaid for this...
No one here was wrong http://www.dailysportspages.com/ind...s-sign-cuban-yasiel-puig-to-40-mil-deal.2511/ Everyone handled it very rationally.
I wasn't exactly stoked when we originally signed him either. We knew nothing about him. All I saw was 40+ million bucks and I'll be honest..I was totally like 'wtf!'. But needless to say I'm glad it worked out.
I don't mind his initial analysis, but after his Puig's beginning play in the minors and his performance in ST, he was just being stubborn and wrong.
Search "Puig" on Twitter. People are seriously freaking out about him sliding into home. People are unbelievable.
When they were showing the highlights on sportscenter the anchors made like an uh oh comment when he slid into home. Not sure if they were mocking all the negative press he's received before or were being serious. I honestly don't see the big deal.
If you looked closely when he slid everyone backed off till he stood up. I think he probably made jokes about doing this. Nobody on the team seemed surprised. Even Vin didn't react negatively. I liked it. The more he does the more that this team feeds off his emotion. Honestly I haven't seen emotion carry a team since Manny was here.
Look at the proof they knew it was coming.. http://instagram.com/p/cVh8lfDYVH/# Check out all the instragram photo's on Puigs twitter page...
I think I heard he did it because one of his friends in Cuba injured himself while jumping on home plate.
I saw in a CBS article that Kendry Morales said the same thing. Sliding will help eliminate injuries. Didn't Morales hurt himself doing that? I can't remember which Angel got hurt in the celebration.
I was way wrong At least I can admit it. ....I'm looking at YOU Queef Law! By the time I saw him in ST, I knew it was real. I should've trusted our scouts. At first I just figured it was dumb and nothing we did was gonna work.
