One of my favorite streets in the whole world. Lotta memories there, indeed.
NY at it's best in September/ October, imo...street energy awakening with the cool air..awesome.

How do you guys feel about dan haren shitting on SVS' faith, for whatever its worth

    Just curious

Not into shitting on anyone else's faith TBH
Not into having anyone foist theirs upon me either

Also SVS can be more than a bit preachy his own self which can set people off

But I don't know the particulars of what Haren said either

Terry Jones from Monty Python has a severe form of frontaltemporal dementia.

Apparently he cannot speak, read, or understand what is being said to him.

I know Monty Python is not everyone's cup of tea, but I thought their shows and especially their movies like Life of Brian, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail, were brilliant pieces of scathing satire on society and religion and politics covered over by general silliness.

Terry Jones was one of the chief writers for those movies, and for someone like that to be stricken by a disease that attacks that one gift.....just life is too cruel.

It's almost like the devil is in control of this year. Too many good and talented people seem to be leaving us.

It's sad for me because I grew up watching Python and just loving it as a kid. And as I grew older I started to truly understand their gift.

Actually they were geniuses. All of them graduated near the top of their classes. Cambridge and Oxford. They were all slated for careers as solicitors or doctors....but ended up making the right decision.

    Brilliant comedians all.

I loved that John Cleese read the dead parrot skit at Graham Chapman's funeral. They all thought that was what Graham probably would have wanted. And I think that was correct.
