    I don't even think this has anything to do with being bad against the NL Central, not hitting, or whatever. The problem is Haren and Beckett. For some reason, the FO didn't address these problems at the deadline.

    Same goes for Perez, Maholm, League (sometimes), etc in the pen.

    They really need to figure this out. Beckett and Haren are going to kill our pen.

    I think we can fix the pen internally, but why we didn't pick up another starter is beyond me. I get not wanting to kill our farm system, but we couldn't go after Bartolo?

    The thing I just don't get is that everyone says that Guggenheim won't stop until a championship is brought to LA, and yet since adding Greinke and Ryu before 2013, nothing really screams "We're desperately trying to win it all". The A's and Tigers just made huge moves while we did absolutely nothing 2 straight deadlines in a row. I know that nothing is guaranteed and both the A's/Tigers could still get eliminated from the postseason, but it'd just be nice to see the Dodgers have a sense of urgency.
