He's going to hit for power. He's finally hitting the mistake pitches he wasn't earlier in the year.
Will he get on base more? Use the whole field? I'm not even old fashioned like that, but it's hard to feel confident in a tight situation with a guy who hits in such low volume. Needs to bump up that BA into the .260 range and walk more to be a trusted 4-5 hitter. jmo.
The overall value will be there. But what we saw in the WS when the sample size shrinks was a nightmare that can repeat

It's time. He's playing out his final games up to the deadline, imo. I just can't see him sticking around, no matter what. The club will move him with a prospect at the least to get out of his contract and free up more space, especially with Muncy around now.

 

You're right. It's been a good month and it's reasonable to believe October, April and May were part of the overall development of a young player.

He's been in MLB for a little over a year. I'd say there's room to improve.

 

Nice. Too bad about the rest of the division. Really important to take the series tomorrow...I hope Kershaw shows up obviously but I’m concerned and skeptical.

 

I'm hoping that this month is more of a microcosm of what he is as a player as he actually went through a slump this month where he struck out nearly 50% of the time over a 36 PA stretch. He is going to have some bad stretches, but he needs to be able to pull himself out of them and be that big bat for extended stretches too. Not to mention when he is in one of those slumps, he is still finding ways to get on (.361 OBP in that rough stretch) is key.

 

Judge had his terrible slump after the All Star game a year ago, recovered and hasn't looked back. Bellinger can do the same (I hope).
