Yikes... so many pitches right down the middle
Uh...no on that.
I don't know how often he was coming out of the bullpen in AAA, but I'd imagine it's a completely different preparation. I suppose there is no harm in trying things out now when we have a huge lead, but I just don't see this working out. Kid is a starting pitcher. It didn't work with Buehler either
Grand salami. Well that's just f**king splendid.
Way to go Carrot Top!
I feel a disturbance in the Force.
Fucking horseshit idea to move guys around so much at this point
If anything why not Gonsolin be the guy out of the pen since he has experience out of the pen. This decision made no sense.
Whether it's the one they had, or the experimental miracle they were trying to create, the Dodger BP flat out sucks, and is not up to the job it needs to do.
May too raw right now.
This ump is a fucking cunt too
Seager is shit
No game is official until Joc has a shitty AB.
Bad two games.
I get that the Dodgers have room to play with setup roles and all that. 29 other teams wish they had this division lead, this offense, this bench, these rookies, and these starters.
But pissing away a series in mid-August versus a team you're likely to face in October is a stupid move anyway you slice it.
If this Braves team gets a hardon in late September... they'll punk the Dodgers long before the Blue gets to lose in the World Series.
I don't think what happened the past two days is indicative of what will happen in the playoffs. But I agree that they are getting too cute at the expense of home field advantage and messing up the rhythm of guys we desperately need to perform.
I agree. Didn't mean to make it sound like they would replicate this self same effort & lineup in the playoffs. That said, tinkering with the lineup this late in the game against potential playoff opponents is a big mistake. Had they done this against the Padres or the Giants for the Fish, it would be a different thing. But this is different. This is a mojo thing, and it hurts HFA. And it stinks of Robots' failure formula from years past.
Bad outing for a rookie in a new role. Not unexpected.
For the lineup to completely shit itself after the first inning wasn't.
