Had over a 1.100 OPS last I saw..yesterday Yeah, but he's not landing until June/July at the earliest so just fuckin around..sort of.
For the record, I don't want to sit our guys against LHP... I'm going off what the team keeps throwing out there.
Really only extends so far tho I mean I dare those MFs to not play Bellinger everyday when he comes up
during our 28 year ws absence the red sox have broken their curse now so have the cubs are the indians next? #fuck_baseball_on_days_like_this
Fuck the Cubs Fuck the Cubs Hey there Shitcago what do you say? The Cubs can go fuck themselves today
Awesome, he is a winner! But seriously, K's are not a big deal if the dude otherwise has good eye and bat control and can hit for power. K's also mean less a lot less GIDP. Many players would have higher K rates if they didnt flail at that 3rd strike just to get weak contact and not be K'd. The roll of the dice that the hit will get through or the defense commit an error is not worth the more often outcome of GIDP or other type of out that is worse than a K.
Looks like last years problem is still a problem. And our hitters with RISP fucking suck. Thought that would make me feel better but it didn't...and as I type this, a bitch is walking down the street with a W shirt and a cubs hat. For fucks sake
The easy solution is to add a guy with a career 1.000 OPS vs LHP and put him in the middle of the lineup. And stop running out a B-lineup every time we face LHP. But that's just a dream I suppose. I doubt there are any 1.000 OPS vs LHP players available who want to play for us AND where we match up for a trade. No one like that is out there... so I guess it's just a dream.
the b lineup thing is already tired scott van slyke is garbage i'm guessing you're probably being tongue-in-cheek about the >1.000 ops vs lhp cuz there's this guy in milwaukee with a career 1.029 vs lhp (1.010 last year)... still not sure if we realistically match up with what they'd want or if the nerds want to unload rube's boy toy puig
at least bring up segedin and try to get someone off the bench who can hit im lost for words how tired i am of svs
It is real only because the team does not have its full compliment of players. Once the kids come in a little later the lefty issues will be solved. By then Puig will be back to being a good option vs lefties like he always is. One of our bench guys will solidify himself as actually being able to hit lefties (counting on Trayce). And if Turner has figured out how to hit lefties better then thats great news. Against lefties our lineup would be like so... 2B Logan SS Seager RF Puig 3B Turner LF Trayce C Yaz 1B Bellinger CF Verdugo Of course if we make that trade with the Brewers. 2B Villar RF Braun SS Seager 1B Turner CF Puig 3B Logan LF Bellinger C Grandal Andrew Toles, Willie Calhoun, Jordan Sheffield, Brock Stewart, Rob Segedin, Edwin Rios, Trevor Oaks go to the Brewers.
