Kershaw's going to pitch a complete game shutout, hit a homerun, a triple, and bean Pagan right in the ribs.
sad state of affairs in this piece. don't know what it is. maybe they're putting too much pressure on themselves or they're feeling the pressure from the FO. the FO definitely looms right now with Olivera and Fernandez set to begin their trek to the show and Seager pretty much right behind them ( and then of course Puig will return at some point). there have to be some guys in the clubhouse that are uncomfortable right now..especially on the left side of the infield and in the outfield. or maybe it's just this lineup that our shit can manager is forcing. or maybe it's none of the above and dudes just need to perform. you can't ask for better starts from Anderson, Frias, and Bolsinger types..i know that.
That's probably the worst emoticon expressing what I meant you could possibly have chosen. This from the guy who chose a Giant sweep...then again, maybe you're correct in an unintentional, accidental kind of way; even a broken clock is right twice a day. Donnie, in his doltish way, does kind of cast a measure of finality over it all...a guy who has had the team in the playoffs multiple times in his tenure, and is rated 17th out of 30 as manager overall? Seems that although outwardly successful, the less than mediocre level bestowed upon him is anti climactic. How does that happen? (<<rhetorical)
I would forget (and I think many others would, too) all the disappointment etc. we are all feeling with a Kershaw victory today...I don't care how we do it either. Beating this redneck shit kicker would be Dodger Nirvana, IMO. I'd like to see Guererro do it, but he looks done already. That would be nice icing on a CK W. A big swing in games lost in the standings also. From 3 to only one... I know, it's May. It doesn't matter. We say the same drivel every year, both at the beginning and middle, and...blah, blah. Point is, we say the same shit at the end of the year, too. Y'know after we play the fucking Cardinals. (Now is the time for the jumping off the cliff emoticon, please.) Irish, do you have a "written in stone" emoticon?
Yaz$' numbers in the 2 spot this year..small sample size ( 2 starts) - .625/.727/1.375 5 hits, 2 of them HRs, 8 RBI, 3 walks, 0 strikeouts in 11 total plate appearances. i'm just sayin..why not?
I chose to be swept based on the fact that this team does not get up for this rivalry. It is disturbing and that is on the manager. Bochy is on another level so there is that AND Bum fag seems to have Clayton's number right now because the rest of the team is not INTO this rivalry. Being more up for Dbacks games is also troublesome. I get the recent history with them but they're not our true rival. So there was certainly sarcasm in my vote but would not have been surprised if it happened based on how I see this team and its manager in this "rivalry".
While i'm on board with the DBB is a problem this is on the players. The Giant players like Romo and Pagan have an intense hatred while we are too blase and lean too much on the it's early and don't burn yourself out. I am ready to go on an all out tirade, not enjoying myself at all, the only saving grace is that I don't have TWC!!!!!!
I honestly think Joc belongs in the middle of our lineup, He easily has the most power on this team. I'd probably DFA AJ, call up Barnes, always start Grandal, and lead off Turner in this situation and bat Grandal 2nd.
personally, i don't like Joc in situations where a runner needs to be moved over at the least. the leadoff spot is where he can do less damage to the team's ability to execute because of the pitcher's spot. i felt like they wouldn't rush him to the leadoff spot ( wrong there..Puig and JRoll sort of initiated that), but that the leadoff spot would be his place over the next couple years. i don't like Joc or Puig in the middle of the lineup right now..1-2 for me. Seager is the most advanced hitter among the young group..i feel like Seager should come up and hit in the middle right away because you want to get him a lot of ABs early, but he also doesn't have to hit there either because of Kendrick/Grandal/Olivera/Guerrero/SVS
