Surprisingly we have a lot of come from behind wins. Only trailing the Giants I think...who are experts at coming from behind.
impossible to predict how to construct a bullpen cause you'd be a crazy to say you knew that Libby and Blanton would be the dudes who best set up for Jansen
Good job, Lib. Werth is one of the best at hitting the outside and low pitch for extra bases. Uncanny. OK Kenley..ball's in your court, bro.
A stat head had to see Blanton's 250 ERA+ as a reliever last year and wonder, though I mean as much as it's outta nowhere, it really isn't, love that he's a former starter and can go multiple innings if needed for sure. The name is shock value more than anything I think. Libby is another story, flashed last year, but the cutter he's added this year looks nice
yeah I felt good about Blanton's signing but thought it was a long man type of thing. IIRC, he was only being used last year in low leverage situations and in earlier innings so I had my reservations for him as a set up dude He's been fantastic though
Watching the Nats broadcast and at this point in the game FP Santangelo is having to speak through the collective jizz of every Nats player. Unbelievable homer vibe.
