Hahaha at the second part. As far as big hits go, Joc Pederson hitting the tying run against the Nationals ace in game five last year was a big hit. From that point there, I have NEVER seen a young potential star get so mistreated by an organization. Treated as less than a platoon player not matter how hot he got, and absolutely brutalized when he naturally slumps as a result. No wonder he's packed on the pounds, hard to be a professional when nobody around him is been one. Then, let's hire Granderson to take his spot while we've essentially on the regular season. Now, if 37 year old defensive liability Curtis Granderson hits the tying run off an ace in game five, I will eat my Dodger hat. But, he won't. Sadly. Rant over.
Joc has no one to blame but himself. It's not just the weight, it's his failure to progress as a hitter and his regression in the field.
Perfectly valid points but this Joc is not the version of last year with the possible exception of HR's. He went down to the minors to improve and if anything he's regressed.

Joc does have himself to blame. I'm 35 and in way better shape than him, and I don't get paid to be an athlete. But for someone with such potential, his leash has been fucking short and tight. He goes through periods where he's amazing, see his return from the DL. But then he slumps like every player EVER, and he needs a complete swing makeover? Fuck off. Its Joc rules, and I simply don't get it.
