Rockies always have hot starts and then May comes around and things change. It's about the time their bullpen starts to wear down and the injuries in the rotation cause issues. It'll happen again this year. Already going with two AA rookies in the rotation and their pen is putting in a ton of work with no depth to speak of. D'Backs have a craptacular bullpen, but both these teams have offenses and play in environments that will make them genuine pain in the asses this year.

With the Dodgers and Giants struggling early, you kno we're gonna get some national writer write some silly headline saying that the Dodgers/Giants have been dethroned only for that to look incredibly stupid by June

Offense is the only thing that is an issue thus far. Pitching has been solid, Puig is hitting everything hard, Gonzo still puttering along and Turner is doing aight. Aside from that, nobody else is looking good. I'm confident that Forsythe is hurt, just bad, bad, bad right now and that is not his M.O. Seager is showing signs that maybe missing all of ST is not a great thing, while Grandal and Pederson are looking very "meh". I'm about done with SVS, no use in keeping a lefty killer around if he can't kill lefties anymore and we have Segedin in AAA. The team has looked like shit the last couple years at Coors, almost like they just want to get out of there alive. Win tomorrow and pick your shit up in Chicago.

Idk...Giving up 3 Hrs in 6 innings isn't that solid, imo.
But conversely, Kenley is really well rested.

I'll take 4 ER in a game at Coors, that should keep you in the ballgame most nights. Especially with where this offense is supposed to be. Not to mention, Kershaw is the one guy I'm not worried about as his numbers here are shit. With the way Gray was pitching, the team should have had at least 4 on the board.

too frustrated to comment during the game and immediately after
too lazy to go through all the posts right now
but here's a couple things i've got to get off my chest...

    puig
he's gotten better mechanically but still has a ways to go mentally
and i'm not sure he'll ever get there
inexcusable to pose instead of running -- and wtf are you posing for?
even if that ball goes out your team is still down 2
and then to brainlessly try to make up for it getting thrown out trying to steal 3rd???
asshole, you were already in scoring position
perfect example of the adage "never make the last out at 3rd"
    fucken idiot

    van slyke
    dude sucks alpaca choad
    swing the fucken bat
    should have left joc in
at least he wouldn't have left the bat on his shoulder

    there's more but :gah:

    Tall order.
Could easily see this rolling into a 5 game losing skid.
Lackey, for LAD, is not " the break " they need against LHP
